we don't have a choice but to. The club has left us relying on kids this season.
Exactly this. We're all now inexplicably relying on consistency from 18 year olds when we should be enjoying the odd cameo from them as they develop. Madness.

I said this at the end of the window as I knew it was a disaster and I got many negative ratings. There's enormous pressure on Moore, Bergvall and Gray especially.

Agree but look at how the latter are performing, I think it’s showing they can cope. Just a shame the more senior players around them are letting them down. One of which is the club b captain

You weren't the only one.

Pure incompetence to take such key personnel risks if you're in charge of a multi billion pound company.

Unless on field performance is secondary to that company's real priorities.

Really excited to see if Mikey can begin to repeat that cameo against the Dutch, it would be amazing to see him develop as Son's ultimate successor...although first of all we just wish him a run of good health and fitness

Tbh I don't entirely blame the club for the likes of Son, Maddison and Bissouma putting in no-shows week after week. They are experienced players and should know and do better with the talents they have.

It's the utter failure of almost all our experienced players this season that is leading to us putting too much faith in the kids.

We've known for awhile Son is on the decline. Has a couple of years of Bissouma and he's not up to it clearly. Maddison has been disappointing imo but it's what you expect when you buy him from a relegated side, their fans said he was inconsistent.

this is all bad planning and bad recruitment. Most of the players we buy are because they're contract is running down or the team is in a financially perilous situation.

Would spurs play the release fee for a player like Partey? Pay over the odds for someone like Van Dijk? Instead we waste money on people like Gil or Veliz hoping they come good and end up with this magical high net spend wasting it on crap.

Moore, gray and bergvall look promising but we've provided them with a terrible atmosphere to try and succeed in. God knows how Gray feels right now, playing in unnatural positions and conceding six goals.

you see I kinda get your points point but that’s letting a load of overpriced, overpaid wasters off Scott free. Now’s the time we need a £50m Maddison, Johnson or Solanke to step up and be the guy. It’s time for “the real me” Bissouma to repay his debt, for Bentancour to repay his fellow teammates for leaving them in the shit and for captain Sonny to go on one of his runs of form.

I'm excited to see the continuation in his development but let's not start talking about starting him. He been laid out for a while and had one league start before that.

His one league start to date was against Palace and he looked his age.

Tbh I think starts at PL2 level might be best to get him fit again. Then once his competitive fitness and sharpness levels are back he gets first team minutes.

We shouldn't be rushing this.

Arguably the worst was Odobert, he was only 19 and literally came in and started straight away because we failed to bring in a winger. Two injuries already this season.

Maddison has 12 goal involvement in 14 starts this season. What's this weird narrative that he's a no show week after week?

Because we need more industry from our CMs - both without the ball, and also in the buildup.

Maddison, Son, and Johnson - 3 players who lack much defensive involvement, and it shows. We could probably carry 1 or 2 players, but when its 3, it puts too much strain on the other CMs and defenders.

He wasn't bought to defend. He's doing his job bringing end product We need a proper number 6 next to Sarr and things would look a lot more controlled in midfield.
