When you start talking viruses, it doesn't take much at all to upset the balance of heart, lungs, and even kidneys. Shows the resilience of the human body that it doesn't happen more often to many others

Speedy recovery Mikey!
About 10 years ago, I caught a virus that lead to me turning yellow and pissing blood.

It essentially shut down my liver for a few days. It then started up, but i had anaemia and ended up having a double blood transfusion.

This month is going to be brutal for our attackers. No rest whatsoever
IMO we may have to consider Kulusevski as more of a winger than we’d like during this period. To at least have Johnson/Kulusevski rotating on the right and Son/Werner on the left. Going to need to use Gray and Bergvall in midfield too. Thinking about it you realise how light we look there too, when you consider Bentancur being out but also how Gray and Bergvall aren’t really what you’d call ready there either. But hey, we all knew we needed a few more ready to go players in the squad!

You can’t be stacked to the point that this sort of thing never impacts you.

Solanke, Richarlison, Moore, Odobert, Van de Ven, Romero, and Vicario is an injury crisis that you will never have the depth to not be impacted by. Look at City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Utd, etc. if that sort of crisis happens it hits you.

it’s impressive we can still field Werner, Son and Brennan even when this happens and have Deki for cover.

Watching Liverpool last night without Trent and Konate . Gomez at centre back , Quansah at right back. First half all, over the place. Got Trent on at half time. Then the reserve kpr made a complete arse of a cross and cost them the points. It’s only really City who have had a squad where you can make 6 changes and not much drop off.

I would think the main issue is that the injuries build up as a knock on effect. The more players get injured then the more others are over playing. Losing Moore is in addition to losing Richarlison and Odobert. So Son and Johnson don't rest much now and are more at risk of injury. Why are we suffering so much? Are others rotating more often than we do? If you rest those key players more it gives a better chance. Then again VdV and Romero get rested in Europe and still injured. So is it something to do with our recovery sessions and intensity of training between games or the pre game warm up I wonder.

Luck of the draw as well. The team that struggled at home to Fulham wouldn't have done much away to a Newcastle or City either.

City lose rodri, and there is a massive drop off though.

Kovacic was a decent deputy. Didn’t bother them in the early games, but has done now because Kovacic is also injured . 45m Philips been a disaster ,could have played now but is at Ipswich .
Nothing lasts forever .

It might have been two years ago but it's not even true of City any more either.

Not much training between games these days. At least I hope not.

But yet so so predictable yet is always the managers fault that we don’t win things when ALL of our managers are ALWAYS left short under Levy/ENIC.

Infuriating and so damn predictable

Ange getting pissed off with questions about Mikey. 17 yr old boy and doesn’t like discussing his health. Should be back by the turn of the year. Might need to play under 21 till he gets his fitness back
Such a shame for the kid as he would have got loads of football in this run

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, but during periods of that game, I’m sure Mikey would have had a field day against these lot tonight.

Alas, us Spurs fans are doomed to not enjoy things.

We'll have to stay patient, but can't wait until this kid is back.

Has that confidence to run at players especially when on left. Such a shame as injuries and form mean he would likely have started a good few games.

I still think he can make a really positive impact this season. Like everyone else I really don't want to rush him, but I hope he's back for the Tamworth, Hoffenheim and Elfsborg games. They're pretty much guaranteed starts for him, and the more of those he can get under his belt this season the better.

Would be my assumption too. Very difficult to predict a return date because there is such a variation in recovery times if that is the diagnosis.
I had that as a teen, wiped me out for the best part of a year. No appetite, no energy. Was told no contact sports for a year too, as the spleen can swell and if it’s knocked can be very dangerous. If he has it, I feel for him, it’s really not a nice thing to have.
