At the middle of last week Moore was still in hospital and had been there for the last 3/4 weeks. He was having medical checks on a potential heart issue.
That’s scary. Hoping your post is based on fact, not innuendo. No offense intended, but a statement like this is extremely scary for the kid, his friends and family.

Why would I do this for a wind up? It’s straight from the man himself.
That’s incredibly frightening. Three to four weeks stuck in a hospital, due to a heart issue, says that the poor kid is in a world of hurt. Anything that would keep you in a state of 24 hour medical attention is extremely serious. Sincerely hope he is okay. And feel for his family, as they must be terrified.

Bloody hell really!
I didn’t go into the kitchen and check the diary of the exact dates when I wrote 3/4 weeks.

Considering it’s 3 weeks tomorrow then I’m pretty damn close aren’t I……
You need to be accurate coming out with stuff like that. I’m depressed now.

With him saying virus it could have been respiratory that spread to his heart. We’ve a family friend who’s 18 year old son has twice been in intensive care in the last year with pneumonia that had spread to his heart

I'm sure you're not making anything up mate. Not sure what heart condition keeps you in for 3/4 weeks then back training the same month? They put ecg monitors on you to keep track. Not put you in hospital?? I was in with atrial flutter. Stayed in overnight and everything calmed down the next day, then later the next day started again. Thankfully it's not haunting me anymore. Fibrillation is slightly different. All scary as fuck when it's happening. My sister has fibrillation, and can't shift it.

Heard similar from pretty much the horses mouth. Hopefully back sooner than mooted. Went for tests due to the virus and they found an irregular heartbeat or something to that effect. Was told would be out to feb/march

The positive from this (assuming it's true) is that they found a problem that might easily have been missed that could have had severe ramifications in the future. Hopefully he can get it sorted and he will be grand.

Thanks for the info, thats quite a major discovery. Can understand why they will want to manage him carefully in the immediate. Could well be back around the same time as Odebert If the Feb/March time frame is accurate. Feel for the lad.

Good luck to Mikey in his recovery - there should absolutely be no rush to get him back on the pitch.

On a wider point, it goes to show how even the most talented youth players still need a huge amount of things to go right as they transition to men's football. A bad injury (Dorrington, Lankshear, Odobert), or illness (Moore), a bad loan (Donley, Scarlett) or a couple of iffy performances (Bergvall) at a point when all eyes are on you can set things back a year or more and be the difference between becoming a PL club legend and playing your career in the Championship.

That's not to say this is happening to our lads, but we mustn't get carried away with the narrative, and give them space to breathe.

Very concerning for the young lad not only health wise but also his development. He missed a good chunk of last season too.
