I'd be more than happy with him being Son's primary sub for league games with 20 minutes to play up against tired full-back legs. I understand it was a case of needs must yesterday with Son, Odobert and Richarlison not being fully fit and Werner out of form, but it was a really tough game to throw him in for.

He's doing well all things considered.

Didn't get in to the game at all, thought Werner looked comfortably better when he came on.

I think people need to realise there is quite a difference between performing in the early stages of the Europa League and performing in the PL.
Very true but it doesn’t help when everybody else is crap. I suppose home to Ipswich would have been better. Doubt he will start v City as he’s play 2 games in a row.

He was pretty poor if we're all honest. Seemed to really struggle getting to grips with the pace of the match and got dispossessed numerous times. This is no shade on him as he's 17 and clearly hugely talented. But expecting him to consistently make an impact at this stage in his development is expecting far too much.

Hard disagree with this. He understandably looked a bit sluggish at times but he played some nice forward balls (one of which leading to a great chance) did a lovely little dribble from left to center around a couple of players before the ref brought it back for a foul on him and all in all didn’t look out of place. This was helped by the fact that the general standard of our play as a team wasn’t great but still, I didn’t look at him and think, shit, he’s not cut out for this yet. The opposite in fact.

He's not PL standard yet. But at this age just being able to start is already a surprise package. Just dont get hurt doing so please.

He was no worse than the rest of the team . The way we just didn’t turn up , meant he had no chance to get on the ball and run at them .

for a full premier league debut he got one of the worst games possible to play in . None of the senior plays stepped up and the manager got our tactics all wrong again away from home

With the Odobert news it looks like Moore will be seeing a hell of a lot of game time this season. I really, really hope we aren't going to put too much pressure on him, mentally and physically.

I would hope Son will play a lot and maybe at times we use Richarlison on the left with Werner a sub at 4 nil up. Tomorrow I think will be too much making 3 starts in 6 days. For that one I'd start Richarlison left and then Son if fit on Sunday. Moore needs some spells off the bench and the Europa games he can start.

Why is he out tomorrow? Everyone seems to be talking about it in other threads but not here and I haven’t seen the news…

Ange confirmed it was a virus towards the end of today's press conference but it hit him hard and he's young and they wanted to be careful or something. Seems a bit fishy but whatever.

It could be covid and for the likes of you and me we probably are find after a week but for a top level athlete it might take weeks to regain peak condition. Even if you are a few % off your peak, at the level these lads are it's a big thing.

Foden was out for weeks with a virus. If it’s anything like a bad case of Norovirus then it could take several weeks for him to fully recover

I've heard he was caught sniffing an old bag of Lamelas columbian marching powder that was left in a locker whilst at the same time hanging out the back of Eriksens girfriend whilst on facetime to Jan Vertonghen.

(have i missed any other recent fan led scandals) :cautious:

Possibly a case of Glandular Fever (Mono). That can hit elite athletes very hard and have a fairly long recovery period.
