The kid is not done physically growing - a lot of the "holding back" is for his long-term benefit (and the club's).

Foden, at Moore's age, got 39 minutes that season across 5 appearances. Moore is on the right trajectory - and there is no benefit to over-using him now as he grows physically and mentally. Let him grow at a normal rate - instead of rushing him.
If you compare Foden to someone like Pedri at Barcelona. When he was 17 he broke into that Barcelona team. Played pretty much all their games and then went to the Euro’s at 18 with Spain and then went to the Olympics as well. Since that season he's got injured every season.

does foden have some particular relevance to moore that i'm not aware of?

yamal, cubarsi, zaire-emery, miley, gray ... these guys just played a full season at 16/17. sc fav desire doue already has two seasons to his name having just turned 19. saka was a starter from 18. moore is a strong lad, nothing like foden at the same age.

Europa will be a perfect platform for him to get game time
As much as it hurts us revenue wise to have missed out on CL, Europa may be most beneficial for where we are at, as a squad. I"m excited to watch our youngsters get an opportunity in the early stages.

He's going to make quite a few appearances this season on his way to a truckload for us over the years. Big, big things in store. He's not fazed by anything

Who is on the fast track then? Assuming we aren't talking about Bergvall, it's either going to be Hall or Lankshear imo. We've already heard that Ange likes Hall and Lankshear is apparently impressing in training.

Lankshear surely. Taking him off after 20 minutes has to be a sign he's showing enough in training to be considered part of the clubs plans moving in to the season. Wouldn't surprise me if he starts a couple of friendlies in Richarlison's absence.

Honestly think Lankshear, Moore, Donley and Hall will make the step up and get a few games this season. Along with Bergvall, Gray, Phillips, Dorrington etc it's exciting to have so many young players coming through again. We should always have at least one top level academy player in the team, to follow the likes of Kane, King, Hoddle etc.

Think that was a pre plan to give him & scarlet both equal amount of time.

it’s one of those two as you say. Must be.

Hall was being heavily courted last year - suspect we’ve made some kind of noises about his prospects.

And you can’t ignore Lankshear’s goal scoring feats. Clearly a good player

"Fast-track him and someone else"?
Who do we reckon the someone else is? Lankshear, Hall?
I would think it's someone from the 18's rather than the 21's.
Either Donley or Lankshear would be my guess.

Didn't Scarlett only really come on because they couldn't stop Veliz's nosebleed?
Seemed like the plan was initially 20 odd minutes each for Lanks and Veliz.

I thought Donley but then, does that really class as being fast-tracked?
That sounds to me like someone skipping a step, like from the 18's to the 1st.

I'm hoping it's Lankshear, Hall, or ideally both.

I would be surprised if it was Hall, since we already have Gray, Bergvall, Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancur that can play the 6 & 8.

Lankshear came off for Veliz (who was then substituted for Scarlett when he got injured).

I think the plan was for Lankshear & Veliz to share the 2nd half at Hearts, possibly with a view to giving Scarlett 45 mins at QPR tomorrow.

After Ange's comments at the end of last season, I wouldn't be surprised if we moved Bents or Biss on if we receive a decent offer, similar to the apparent Kulu situation.

Its a shame they brought Lankshear off really, he could have been walking away with a match ball
