I know a lot of us wanted Neto. But I won’t be at all disappointed if the right side of our attack is shared by Johnson (who I like) Kulu (who I don’t like at much on the right as he has shown through the middle) and Moore.

I know we want signings, but our squad is currently bursting at the seams.
And the kids have been the best part of our pre season. So they will need minutes.

I would tbh, we’re still a proper winger short, kulusevski should be a central player now.

Great interview. Comes across so well, and naturally. Hope he sees plenty of action this season.

Comes across really well in the interview. If he doesn’t make it , it won’t be for the want of trying.
But then, we all know that he will.

It really will be fascinating to watch how Mikey, Bergvall, Gray, and Vuskovic, evolve over the next two years. It's totally possible that all four are considered as starting XI players by that time. And even weirder to think two of them will be 20, and the other two will be 19. That's not even taking into account some of the chaps who are only two or three years older, such as VdV, Sarr, Udogie, Dragusin, Johnson.

Is it too late to cancel Werner’s loan? 😂

Use Mikey as a LW where he’s best and go and sign a RW.
He’s no where near ready to be our back up LW imo. He may well be in a couple of years but he’s some way off. Clearly a huge talent but we need to manage his development closely and throwing him in now could well destroy his confidence

It's a balance though isn't it. He needs to play football as well as be protected. And the main way he develops is to play the game. Endless bench appearances would be dreadful. I hope he gets to play lots.

What is that assessment based on other than his age? He looks physically ready and he has the skills

He doesn’t look physically ready, just what I’ve seen, he’s a top talent but we always seem to go crazy over our young talents. He needs easing in, throwing a 17 year old in the premier league is crazy. He’s not Rooney.

It is a balance yes but I’m sure he’s learning so much from just being with the first team. Plenty of players get eased in.

Hard disagree. You’re just looking at the date in his passport. He’s physically well developed already. Who are the equivalent young talents we have gone crazy over? He’s clearly above any 17 year old we’ve had in decades

I’m not saying he’s not. But every young talent we get we over rate. It’s nothing to do with his passport age it’s to do with what I’ve seen when I watch him. He’s a big talent I’m not doubting he is, but to get rid of werner and have him as our second choice playing 25-30 games in the prem, cups and Europe is nuts!

I don’t think he will start 25-30 games, but you said he was a couple of years away. That’s what I disagree with

The list of young talent we’ve gone crazy over goes to the fucking moon and back….
