He still needs to develop a lot physically imo. He’ll get bullied by premier league defenders in much the same way Bryan Gil did. Like Gil, he has the skills to be effective in bits and bobs, but he’s still very slight.I have no idea how best his development is dealt with ? Do you leave him with the first team constantly now ?
We want him to maintain his confidence and positive attitude too, getting bullied week in week out by more physically imposing opponents won’t do that.
He should play u21 football at the weekends and maybe Europa cameos in midweek. Keep him hungry and motivated, but don’t stunt his growth. He still needs to be regularly playing 90 minutes and learning his game.
People really need to remember that he’s only just turned 17 and has a lot of growing to do. He’s a really exciting prospect though.
