Deserves his own thread now given he's clearly part of the first-team after the end of last season.

How much do you think he'll play this year given his age? Is he still a player to bring off the bench late in games? Does he get cup and Europa League starts?

His close control looks a real point of difference in our group of wingers, who most rely on pace to beat a man or their strength is arriving in the box at the right time. How do we think that fit into what Ange wants from his wingers?

Finally, for those who have seen a lot more of him than I have, where he does he rank among the prospects you've seen at Spurs and how good do you think he could be? How does he differ from a Marcus Edwards, for example?

I hope we give all the kids a real chance in the window. I know it was only hearts but they all looked great yesterday.

I don’t see him as a winger now, or in the future.

He’s better central, and near the box, his close control, change of direction and an eye for goal make him exciting.

Possibly a better attitude than Edwards, and a better build potentially too.

I think what is better for Mikey, is that there are others coming through that are also super talented. Tyrese Hall is only a year older, Will Lankshear too, and then we’ve bought Gray and Bergvall. These mights ease a bit of Mikey’s limelight, deflect some pressure.

I got to see him play up close last season a few times when playing against my son, conversation with his old man, and his family were really nice and down to earth, in fact I recall his old man saying he hasn't been playing well, and this was after he scored against my lad!

As a player, he isn't a winger. I put in early last season he had a bit of a Gazza/Rooney style about him, not the quickest burn of pace, but control, movement, vision on the ball, off the ball, the lad can play. He gets everywhere, I personally felt the 10 is the favoured position in modern football, but he could really do a job anywhere in the final third. I'd say at u18 level absolutely unreal, he may even skip u21 football as physically he is already there, very well developed young man and got a decent head on his shoulders.

He doesn't really play as a winger. He is extremely effective coming in from the left hand side though, and you need to think more like Salah than traditional winger. Not the pace of Salah(not slow either) but brilliant feet and close quarter dribbling at pace.

He sent two defenders and the goal keeper the wrong way with his change of direction for his goal v Hearts..

It was a bit Gazza ish

He appears to have the ability to create space and slow everything down in the box when scoring. He doesn't panic and snatch at chances as some others do. Love to watch him and am excited for the future

I don’t know whether it was instructions or personalities, but where Bergvall was drawn to the ball, sometimes chasing after possession, Moore was happy to hold his position and wait for the ball to come to him. I’m going to choose to believe that he was doing as he was told, and was confident enough not to try to force things to get noticed.

He reminds me of a more upright Chris Waddle!

Would be great to understand from a very technical standpoint what he does differently to others? I’m kinda of clueless in the technical aspects of football but would be fascinating to hear from any coaches on here or others that have played at a decent level as to what the nuances are of how Mikey plays!

What an unbelievable talent this boy is. We have got some incredible young players and this boy looks the bet of the lot.

Eriksen was never the quickest, and was clearly not a winger, but some of his best performances for us were coming in off the left.

He plays the game at his own pace, not many players can do this.
Whether he's currently able to do that against PL opposition remains to be seen. I'm not saying he can't, as he hasn't even had the opportunity to try yet, but the tempo and level of tactical awareness in the PL is a big step up from U18 PL / PL 2 / Hearts. I really hope he gets some minutes in Europa, but I suspect Ange will be going all out to win that.

Not disagreeing with that. He's too young to place too much hope on. He needs time, and less pressure.

My prediction is that 2026-27 or 2027-28 will be his breakthrough season for us (by "breakthrough" I mean when he starts to make a real impact with our first team, not get's his first meaningful opportunities).
