I think playing him at LB makes it even more likely that hamstring injuries will happen, he is a heavy guy and not the most agile, so these sprints take a lot. and at fullback in our system he has to do them even more than at CB.

It wasn't much of a sprint though. Nothing to do with being left back. It's a routine short burst he will do at centre back too. It came early in the game so either the pre game warmup is not good enough or it's muscle fatigue carried over from the last game.

Was it the sprint or how he went down doing the tackle? Not seen a replay to show if he pulled up before the tackle or if he's pulled something as he's landed.

I didn't see anything that screamed muscle pull in the sequence, he just seemed to get up and prod his thigh/ass muscle!?

Why is Cuti injured for the next three games?
I'm saying Micky looks set to miss three not Cuti. Cuti is a worry because he came off feeling a niggle last night not that he is going to miss three but Radu and Ben need to be ready to takeover just in case he has some sort of reaction in the Villa match .

Romero was just tired, not injured

Sounds a bit more than tired.

Asked about Cuti and Timo on our Review Show, Ange told us: “Romero felt something at half-time, felt a bit tight. I was going to take him off at half-time, but he was pretty insistent on starting (the second half), but after the game started, my gut was telling me after losing Micky, we couldn’t afford to lose Cuti as well. So, we took him off.

Point still stands.

At LB against tricky wingers he will be using much more fast twitch fibres reacting to them changing direction and selling dummies and as a larger less agile (than most good full backs) player it will take it's toll.
At CB those runs are usually across to cover and not after being turned one way and another and constantly having to shift weight

But he's pulled up while playing centre back too. I don't see how twisting and turning affects the hamstrings. Besides Walker never had those issues.

Because you are playing more one V one. with players actively trying to get you off balance.

going into a sprint off balance without a solid base is totally different and can lead to all sorts of tweaks in muscles/tendons.

And Walker is far more agile than Micky too.

And as you say, Micky has form so playing him at LB is a non starter for me.

That's not an issue for hamstrings though. That's more a challenge on the ligaments. Hamstrings are more impacted by sprints and he has to do plenty of those from centre back.

Trust me I have done more ligaments/muscle than scat has assassinations...

And just twisting and turning can tweak from calves up to groin.

And that appeared to be what this was, a tweak. Just prior to which Savinho had taken Micky on a twisty run...

It wasn't a tweak, he made a short burst and pulled up after. He literally made the exact same covering run across he makes from centre back. Pretty much every hamstring injury is from sprinting no matter what position.

I hate to break it to you...

Interesting theory.....how do you account for the other 17 teams in the league dealing with similar to worse injury issues?

Are the Spurs medical team moonlighting at other clubs and ruining those players too? 🤔

Well he surely woudnt of started second half had it been semi serious.

Im sure its just a niggle/knock and was all just precautionary

I love Micky and Romero, and its weird because theyre our best CB partnership but every so often I think is their understanding, together, that good....

Obviously it will continue to grow with more games and the way we play will expose any back line on a regular basis, but Im intrigued how Dragusin will do with a run of the games in the league.

Yes it is probably just a niggle and I am sure we will see Romero on Sunday but will he do three games in eight days, I doubt it so plenty of work for Archie, Ben and Radu in the back four .
