If we can hold onto him long enough. I guarantee the likes of Real Madrid will be all over him if we don't start making serious progress.Future captain material.

Same comment comes up every time we have a player playing really well.If we can hold onto him long enough. I guarantee the likes of Real Madrid will be all over him if we don't start making serious progress.
Yup. Don’t not get how we got such a free run at himFor all we question some of the transfers in recent years this signing is a simply outstanding piece of business
They’re gone buy back regs any minute nowSame comment comes up every time we have a player playing really well.
For a long time we've been doing well enough to keep those sorts of things at bay, but another season out of the CL and it becomes harder to convince players to stay if the biggest clubs come in. Mickey is clearly an elite footballer in the making.Same comment comes up every time we have a player playing really well.
Don’t forget Tim Sherwood thinks he’s a bit wooden.Quite simply, there is no one else in football that does what he does.
An absolute beast.
I genuinely think Ange should turn him into a forward. I think he'd be a world beater.Micky van de Bale!
His attributes our perfect for our CB role, possibly LB put him anywhere and he’d be nowhere near as effective, understandably.I genuinely think Ange should turn him into a forward. I think he'd be a world beater.
Obvs he's a great CB, but I also think he's a better forward than any of our actual forwards. His attributes our perfect for our CB role, possibly LB put him anywhere and he’d be nowhere near as effective, understandably.
Probably because he had only played a handful of senior top flight games before we bought him. This one is a real win for our recruitment department because they've identified the player based pretty much purely on attributes, and fit for how we intend to play. He only had one season of Bundesliga behind him, and a handful of games in the Dutch second tier, so he is very inexperienced for a CB. Him 'being very fast' wouldn't have been enough for most clubs to take a 40mil chance, but for us it was a massive tick because of how we play.Yup. Don’t not get how we got such a free run at him

Could go: Porro, Gray, Romero, DaviesQuestion if we put Davies in at CB is who plays LB when Spence isn't registered.
He's like Jan Vertonghen with rocket boosters. He is one of the best signings we have made in years - full credit to the scouting team for identifying him and fair play to Levy and the club for stumping up the cash to get him.
