Absolutely sensational player.

If he can sort out his tendency to get turned he'll have a shout for the best defender in the world. Already so good and you can still see plenty of areas for him to improve. An absolute cheat code of a defender.

Same comment comes up every time we have a player playing really well.
For a long time we've been doing well enough to keep those sorts of things at bay, but another season out of the CL and it becomes harder to convince players to stay if the biggest clubs come in. Mickey is clearly an elite footballer in the making.

The Johnson goal was basically a reverse of the Son goal against Burnley. VdV does all the running and Johnson does the Vertonghen at the end of it.

His contract is very secure for us, but we should offer one to raise his wage level to be fair. One of our lowest paid, while he was awarded our Player of Season.

Yup. Don’t not get how we got such a free run at him
Probably because he had only played a handful of senior top flight games before we bought him. This one is a real win for our recruitment department because they've identified the player based pretty much purely on attributes, and fit for how we intend to play. He only had one season of Bundesliga behind him, and a handful of games in the Dutch second tier, so he is very inexperienced for a CB. Him 'being very fast' wouldn't have been enough for most clubs to take a 40mil chance, but for us it was a massive tick because of how we play.

We’ve lost top players before when in the CL.

We lose players simply because they become elite and an elite club puts up huge money to get them.

If Real Madrid decide one of our players is their number one target and go all out for him, at some point they’ll get him. Regardless of us finishing top four.

Question if we put Davies in at CB is who plays LB when Spence isn't registered.
Could go: Porro, Gray, Romero, Davies

Not ideal, but I think we really need to be careful with Micky's hamstrings. Depends how Udogie is and whether it's just precautionary. If he's fit then try to get 45 out of him, though I suspect we'll be very cautious with him too.

He is one of the best signings we have made in years - full credit to the scouting team for identifying him and fair play to Levy and the club for stumping up the cash to get him.
