Hmmm I think a club in the Championship would be a far better move for his career.
I disagree the lad is tiny, all he will do in the Chamionship is get kicked left right and centre. May as well move to a league where he is given a little bit of extra time on the ball and gets to learn how to keep control

If he does well at Udinese he’ll most likely end up being loaned to Watford anyway

I just can’t see a bloke of his character settling in Italy. It’s a country that has wonderful people, culture etc but you have to make the effort to embrace that. Can you genuinely see this guy learning Italian and blending in with the culture over there. I think it’s incredibly unlikely.

He may get kicked in the Championship, but it’d make him a better player.

Why do you think it unlikely? He just spent a year in the netherlands. I remember the first time i lived abroad it changed my perspective. The italians are more laid back than the british, it might suit him.

Might just need a change of culture to wise up, you never know. Moving abroad does a lot of things to people.

The culture in the Netherlands is way more similar to the UK than Italy. I also have a positive experience of living in a few different countries but I had to really make the effort to make it work. He just doesn’t seem to be that sort of guy. I may be wrong and being incredibly unfair but let’s see I guess

Well it's down to him. We just wish him well and move on.

Everyone in Holland speaks English, they don't in Italy.

Just came back from three weeeks on Lake Como .95% of people under 30 spoke English, think more in N Italy do then in S Italy
Probably cos they’re all tourists. I’ve travelled Southern Italy, Sicily and Sardinia and they’re at Ashley Cole levels of English.

I just remember going to Holland, probably about 20+ years ago and being amazed at how well everyone seemed to speak English.
My oldest lad is 12 and plays computer games with a lad, of about the same age, from Finland. The guy's English is absolutely faultless and yet, I don't think he's ever even been to England.
It's a bit embarrassing really.

I think a lot of the youngsters in the Scandinavian countries do speak English. The gaming scene is a massive influencer as English is far and away the most spoken language in most games, I've sat in channels with people from all over the globe and their English is better than a few of the natives.

Not just gaming. Films, music, books. English is the international language.

You will struggle to find anyone under 35 in Scandinavia who doesn't have a decent grasp of English. I've lived in Norway for 20 years and have never met anyone who couldn't have made themselves understood in English. It's taught from first or second grade and it's all over social media, TV, games, everything.
