Rather an overly eager talent, than one who looks like a deer in headlights. He's immensely talented and I expect him to only improve.

Only Moore has me more excited about a talent at the club.

Get the feeling he was trying too hard after being subbed on Thursday (not his fault). He's 18 and so lots to learn and grow from.

He's young and realistically is making the biggest step up out of our young signings. With that said, I really wish our angry Italian goalkeeper hadn't been such a **** because he looks less like the player we saw in pre-season.

Keep giving him starts in Europa and appearances from the bench in the Prem and he will improve. But a lot of misplaced passes and indecisiveness today

He kept on slipping the whole game. Also most of his passes got stuck in pitch and didnt go through. I dont think he is used to these kind of pitches.

I will give him a pass...given Maddison was even worse than Bergvall in the role

It's not like the swedish league has the most beautiful pitches either.

And I agree about Maddison. Was supposed to come on and calm things down but I think he misplaced all of his passes

Definitely doesn’t look ready to challenge the likes of Maddison or Kulu for a starting role . Looked a little nervy . His touch wasn’t tgeee and had trouble staying on his feet

Yes it is because of one action by Vicario against Leicester, not because pre-season is a completely different standard.

He still looks class just a few mistakes here and there. Not worried about him in the slightest. I’m still convinced he’s going to be a cross between Xaxi and Iniesta and win us the treble next season.

I suspect he will have learnt a lot from tonight, which is great news.

I hope he keeps getting picked for the Europa games.

For an 18 year old who’s just come from the Swedish league after 1 season I’d argue the performances he’s showing are exactly what I’d expect them to be, eager to impress ect. He’s not been bad at all, the thing that is working against him is that the other 2 his age that he’s being compared up against are truly top top talents.

He just needs time.

He's also playing in a hard position to make an impact adapting to the pace of the league and indeed Ange's demands on his central players.

Absolutely no worries whatsoever with the lad, he'll be blossoming before we know it.

I don't really get the need to compare them against each other.

We have some ridiculously talented youngsters, all playing in different positions.

He’s 18. That’s all that needs to be said. He clearly has bags and bags of talent and he has plenty of time on his side. Out of all the youngsters he is playing in the most difficult position and is getting used to how an Ange midfielder plays.

He will be brilliant, of that I have no doubt.

It's a symptom of the rampant over analysis people seem to indulge in these days. We look far too deeply into things, often coming up with stuff that just isn't there.

He needs to keep working hard, he seems to be suffering a bit from the intensity required! It will come though.

He needs minutes more than anything else, but whilst he perhaps didn’t shine, he also didn’t look out of place.
Yeah - there is no need for anyone to be knocking his performance today. He is 18, taking a step up this year, and there will be growing pains. He just needs to keep his head up, and keep working in training - he has the skills for all to see, just needs to get adjusted to the pace and intensity.
