Who are we realistically going to sign with the money that's better than Trippier?

Only acceptable replacement would have been Wan-Bissaka but he's being touted at over £50m now by papers.
So £25m net? Fine by me.
Someone let Levy know.

We bought him for less than 5m, now selling him for 25m. And many fans don't want him to be in the Starting XI. Going to be 29 in Sep. Wow, what a business.

That might be fine by you, but there's no way we are chucking 50m at the only attainable RB who is an upgrade Trippier.
I find it ludicrous that you believe there us only one attainable right back in world football that would be an upgrade on Trippier, do you really think that it would cost £50m to sign someone better?

What about atal? (Had to change the autocorrect twice hahaha). Right back with a buyout clause isn’t he? Didn’t we have confirmed ‘interest’?

And while we’re taking net spend, look at Dortmund’s brandt and hazard for one pulisic. Would take that every day of the week. It can be done.

Hooray...Hooray.

We can afford half a Bissaka. (y)
For what its worth, Ally Gold does put him in his article about how Spurs might lineup week 1 next year as the RB.

I think 50mil is worth is for a 21 year old who could be a mainstay in the starting line up for 10 years. But its not my money.

My point isn't based around my ability to name the players, it's about your seeming lack of faith in the people at the club who are paid professionals in that field, if they can't find more than one player more competent than Kieran Trippier in the entire world, then they should be sacked, and have to reimburse all wages ever paid to them by the club.

I've watched a lot of Leicester City this season and Ricardo Pereira looks quality at times so i think there is plenty of talent about other than wan bissaka. Don't get me wrong it would be great to have him.

Not sure if I'm allowed to mention seen as we ain't been lined. let me know and i will delete no problems.

Exactly this. My number one go get him this summer. If we get £25m for Trippier,’as DFF has said, AWB would only be a £25m net spend. For the league’s best RB outside of Liverpool for the next 10 years, that would be a very good bit of business.
Would love some ITK saying we’re in for AWB

There are plenty of right-backs who are better than Trippier, that's not my point.

Take in to consideration the fact that we have to keep these targets within our budget, wage structure, and ensuring they're an immediate upgrade on Trippier, that's going to be a struggle. If we start next season with Aurier, KWP and a right-back who doesn't immediately fill the void left by Trippier we'll be worse off than we are now.

Some reasonable points, but personally I disagree, I think you're either vastly overrating Trippier or have zero faith in our scouts. I don't think it should be too hard for them to identify someone better and within our budget, if they can't do that then I'd be looking for new scouts.

I don't think he adds anything positive to the squad at all now based on his showing last year and wouldn't even be too concerned if we sold him and just went with KWP and Aurier. That's just my opinion though, I could be wrong.

Ally Gold bringing him up in this article gives me at least some minor hope we're after him.

You're not allowing for the fact that one is 28 and the other is 21.

Its not as simple as saying we've only 25 million to spend to replace Trippier.
