It shows far we've come when we can sell a player that isn't quite good enough to one of Europe's best and most consistent clubs!

I think that’s harsh, he underperformed last season for us when quite honestly we were poor. Out midfield was borderline shite after Moussa left and out fullbacks got no protection. Yes Trippier is suspect defensively, his pysicality and speed doesn’t give him much room for error. I think if he gets his move to Spain he will do very well. Having said all that, I do think it’s time he moved on, and I would say the same for Rose.

He’s not an RB. He’s a makeshift RB just like Dier was in his first season. I really dont get why you’re fighting this.

Despite the player saying himself in an interview that Poch has converted him into a RB and Argentina playing him at RB?

Happy for Tripps who has been an excellent investment for us. Played injured last season. I suspect Athletico might have got themselves a bargain if he can regain full fitness.

What the fuck would Foyth, Pochettino or Argentina know about whether Foyth can play Right Back. They're hardly Yankspurs are they ffs

Foyth is decidedly not a RB and he’s obviously been moved there out of necessity. If you cant see that, you’re willfully blind.

Some players start out in one position but do excel when moved to another position.

He’s young and I’d give him and Poch time to see if it’s a success. If it isn’t, we could always move him have to CB.

Trips busted his ass for this club yeah he has his limitations and the time was right to move on and he landed at Atleti (much better spot than I expected) so nothing but best wishes

Could imagine him playing right midfield for Atletico as they play defensive football, could be a great buy for them

He’s much better as a wingback in a 3-5-2 as he played for England as he delivers a quality cross but not fit for 4 in the back if that’s what we are gonna run just not strong enough defensively I think he’ll show good in Spain

I’m glad he’s gone. He wasn’t good enough anymore and we need to keep improving - there’s no room to be sentimental in such a ruthless industry.
