The media links for his sale are pretty funny. ManU, Everton, Napoli & Atletico Madrid today. Simeone and Trippier is a match made in heaven.

Whether we're leaking this info out to the papers or they're making this stuff up you'd think they'd try a little harder to make it semi-believable.

Brighton will be well organised and so deep some will be halfway down the slope.
Their full backs will be doubled up and it will tricky to get a cross in.
Trippier, should he play, will not have much defending to do, but will be playing to his strengths.
I'm looking for him to shine.

No smoke with fire. We are probably trying to move on him or Aurier and I suspect he will be easier to sell. Some of the figures are bizarre though considering the transfer ng bandied about for average players nowadays. He’s worth at least £25 million in today’s market.

People can't take jokes now?

I'm sure they can mate. But Paolo is literally called out every time anyone so much as thinks about Trippier, so it's become somewhat difficult to differentiate between trolling, goading & joking.

I had a feeling your post was lightheaded (you're never normally anything else) but as I said, when it comes to Paolo, it's become hard to tell when people are joking.

No need to give him sympathy, he's a troll and he relishes in it.

He's called me far worse so I'm sure he can take a bit of ribbing form time to time, it's all good ;)

Then I apologise for once again sticking my beak where it doesn't belong.

Honestly, I find it all a bit pathetic tbh, I have backed up my opinions on Trippier with statistics, reasoning and have tried to add at least a slight bit of balance to the at times, horrendous mob mentality against a player we're supposed to support and clearly the best right back at the club on the balance and volume of performances overall with a view to adding to constructive discussion rather than the usual rubbish from posters with far too high a post count per day tbh.

Even after performances over 2 legs (including marking Sterling out of the game at home and setting up the crucial goal away) that saw us into the Semis for the first time and then not playing in another game in which we lost, the same shitty vitriol still keeps coming up.

The shit Trippier gets and the negativity surrounding him from sections of SC is ridiculous, especially for a homegrown player who is a model professional, has performed at a level that has brought Spurs great success, contributes a lot in creating chances (and defending), was his country's best player at the World Cup and has consistently been involved and trusted by the manager...and has also more than quadrupled his value while at the club.

Then I have to read a load of shite about Serge and KWP and even transforming players who dont even play the fucking position into replacing him.

If you can't see that our tactics have a hell of a lot to do with our perceived problems at fullback, then your fucking eyes are painted on...half of the usual critics dont even comprehend fucking zonal marking...often regurgitating the usual shit they've read from some shitey no-mark internet journalist or commentator.

Let's hope if we do replace him (which would be fucking mental ahead of any of the other right backs IMO), we'd better get someone quicker than Sane, a better passer than Trippier and a better all round player like most of the fanclub incorrectly thought Aurier was.

Dan's been acting the **** for a good while now, to the point of the ignore function.

Cripes, Dan calling someone a troll again, wonders will never cease

Like a lot this squad this season Trips has had good and bad moments. Think in the heat of the moment people aim their ire at players, we're all guilty in our own ways.

Perhaps he is one of the players that moves on but if we are moving a right back on I'd prefer if Trips wasn't the one moved on.

Onions.

Trippier has looked a liability more often than not lately.
Problem is, I can't see that we could depend on Aurrier either, who seems injured/error prone himself.
Perhaps selling one of them and bringing a new one in is the answer. A bidding war would be good for us to help get the best price.

You have to admire Poch’s loyalty to his players but continuing to pick this clown is just beyond a joke. An embarrassment of a footballer. Cue his uber fan to enter the thread and tell us how he was MOTM tonight. Foyth or KWP from now on please.

The funny part about it is his defenders say this is the type of game he excels in... yet time and time again he fails to deliver. He's easily the most overrated player I've ever seen on Spurs from what I saw people saying this summer.

Absolutely awful tonight, i've never seen a player receive the ball so much and then refuse to run forward with it. So infuriating... and don' get me started on his reckless fouls and non crossing. Also there were times where he just wouldn't run in behind their defence off the ball. I'm not saying KWP is the answer, but Trippier most definitely is not. Rose's end product wasn't the best tonight but the difference between the two of them is massive. Key area for Poch to address in the summer.

Absolutely infuriating when he gets in a position to cross and he cuts back.

Poor tonight, we seriously need to upgrade our full backs starting from him.
