Anyone seen him play regularly to know what we are actually getting, I have honestly never seen him play...but I am excited just hearing about him, but some of these players can get overblown..

Some Swansea based posters have shared in this thread, plus analysis on the previous page.

Some good words from Mourinho in here. Sounds CV like he’d of played tonight had we signed him in time. I wonder how much money we saved not getting him in versus the impact of him not playing those games and being ready for the PL earlier as a consequence. The age old debate.

There was a really good sky discussion about him. The video is about 10 minutes and all about him. Worth a watch if you can find it on here. Andy hinchcliffe and somebody else discussing his talent.

1) if he’s good enough for PL minutes, given our struggles with forming the right partnership currently, he’ll get them.
2) if we end up not qualifying for this group it will be about far more than Rodon not playing.

I do understand the argument that he’d be ready sooner if he was able to play in these six matches, but it really shouldn’t be that impactful and in a world where Godfrey has just gone for more than double while one of Liverpool and Utd are probably going to massively overpay for Ben White who has the same shoreline as Rodon, I think getting him for £11m plus a few potential add ones justifies the extra two weeks of not having him at a time when we weren’t playing any games anyway.

If he was in the EL squad then another non HG player would have to be left out. Who would you leave out for him?

The question isn’t really about his ability, we know he has that, it’s about his self confidence.
Some players thrive in the pressure environment, others don’t.
If he’s the former then he’ll be a regular, IMO, if the latter he won’t.

The only way we fans will ever know this is when he gets minutes.

The shame is I was thinking it would be good for him and Davies to play centre back together as they know each other from Wales so would help Roden settle more, but they both prefer left centre back spot.
