like I said. Didn’t benefit Burnley tho et al did it. Not having a pop at him but not following the blind love just because he’s joined spurs.

i don’t think anyone is claiming this is a Bale home coming type scenario. He however brings experience in winnings things, leadership quality and a voice. Maybe this is more of what we need. We’ve had better footballers before and managed to win fuck all.

Excellent interview from Joe on his life at the club thus far. Appears to be a real leader:

I always thought he was a bit of a prat and vastly overrated. Now he is here I can see that he appears to be a pretty genuine guy with a fantastic attitude and he can be a very good back-up for Hugo.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by him tbh.

Good professional, good attitude, good leader. Great addition, I feel more confident with his name on th team sheet than I do with Gazzinga

Great little interview. I like him - exactly what we needed. Seeing him with the GK coach at the end of the game tonight, surely waiting to congratulate Whiteman as he came off the pitch, was wonderful to see.

He seems comfortable, almost happy, in his role and his experience, attitude, influence is invaluable to a squad that has very little trophy winning experience (so far...)

Would recommend Nedum Onuoahs podcast where he was a guest right after he signed with us. Gave a good account of himself.

Will leave it up to the locals to judge if his go at a cockney accent was decent or not.

I’ll be honest - I thought he was a bit of a nob before he came but he’s done nothing but impress me since he’s been here. Happy to eat humble pie on this one

Really seems to be bringing a lot of good feeling to the squad. As others have said, he looks happy with his role.
