I hope he doesn't make Euro's, just think it'd be better for him in the long term to enjoy 6 months in the team with us, have the summer and come back hungry for pre-season. If he goes Euro's I feel like there's a risk of burnout which I feel we've seen amongst our ranks with players who were in the England squad for a tournament off the back of their first full season in the prem.

I hope Kane doesn’t go to the Euros. Imagine him having a lovely long rest and a full pre season with Jose. Not happening obviously but we can only dream....

The one that kills me is Davison Sanchez, I think he was in the south american version of the Champions League then went straight to Ajax with no break and has had a summer tournament every summer from then till now. Just want to see what would happen if he had a summer off. They've got another Copa America this summer it's crazy.

How much rest do you want to give him?

He's injured so what's he doing now?

Yeah, unfortunately he’s getting a lot of rest this season!

There is no way he would sit out the Euros if he’s fit and I don’t blame him. The only worry is if he rushes back too quickly and tears his hamstring again.

Hopefully we ease him into it slowly at the back of the season rather than stick him straight in the starting line up after a few days full training.

Probably in rehab, gym etc 3/4 hours a day!!

Give the poor lad a year off. All expenses paid trip to the Seychelles. Then needs to be wrapped in cotton wool on his return

I like Tanganga. He has a great will to succeed and for a young guy strength and confidence. If he keeps this up he could be in any of the defensive positions even DM I think. Really a good player. Thanks to Mourinho for not waiting too long

Another very solid game from him tonight. Yes Ings got the better of him for the goal but that’s a very experienced premier league striker at the top of his game.

He’ll learn from that and it will make him even better

Actually felt sorry for him in periods of the game having to cover and run around for Dier & Ndombele and generally show some much more experienced players the desire, commitment and workrate needed

He had about 4 players let him down before he got worked by Ings. I think it was (1) Sessegnon who just kept dropping off Redmond and gave him space through midfield when he had no other player coming into his area of the pitch and cover on the outside in Winks and when he decided to close him down he kind of half-stopped. (2) Son should have chopped Redmond down, (3) Alli pulled out of a tackle when Redmond cut it back going through midfield and (4) Winks should have also fouled him to stop the move. Really just a bad effort all around which culminated in Tanganga being on an island and playing the fool.

He's a young kid, that naivety will iron out with experience. Was telegraphed what Ings was going to do, but as Snarf says above, so much was fucked in the build-up, he was basically stranded

Been really impressed with him. Confident player, doesn’t seem to get fazed. Even when he got isolated for the Ings goal, he just learns and bounces back, doesn’t get rattled.
Slots in at CB, RB, LB, seamless performance despite any lack of natural comfort at fullback or on the left. We need more like him from the academy to fill the gaps. I’d rather see Skipp play than Dier too.

Brilliant once again bar that 1 piece of naive defending (and he wasn't helped by his teammates with shocking defending throughout the length of the pitch).

He will learn from things like that and learn to send players on the outside and away from danger. He has the physicality, agility and speed to do it easily, so it's literally just a case of learning the game as he plays.

Ings did
exactly the same manouevre
to Toby recently
so no big discredit
to the boy.

It's interesting how often when a new manager takes over a previously unused youngster gets game time.

Tanganga has made an excellent start to his career. I've heard a few stories that Mourinho only likes young players with a true desire and focus on the game. It looks like Tanganga has this.

Honestly if we had gone out and spent £40 million on a 20 year old defender and he came in and performed like Tanganga has so far we would be pretty satisfied.

I heard he only likes young players that spend their time hanging out with reality stars and playing fortnite

Brilliant talent but i've seen nothing in his game that suggests he could be a DM, as seems to be the obsession on here.

I would say he's functional on the ball rather than comfortable. He definitely doesn't seem to have the ability to take the ball on the half-turn and see the 360 picture. A skillset that is absolutely essential to being a good DM. I dunno, I think alot of you think all an DM needs to be is athletic and be able to put a foot in lol - guess that explains alot of the unwarranted shit that Winks gets.

I think the obsession comes from not having brought a DM in since Wanyama was clearly finished well over a year ago and Diers brother having replaced Eric some time ago too!

Had we had more options last night I’d 100% have preferred to have seen Tanganga in Diers position. Would have given us so much more athleticism and energy in the middle of the park and we would have won the ball back a he’ll of a lot more

Watching Dier again was painful. It’s sad where his levels have dropped to and is no way able to play that role atm

PS We’d probably have had more ball, looked better without possession - and lost!!!
