Sanchez, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Foyth, Dier, Carter-Vickers, Fagan-Walcott should all play before him at the moment.
It's time to let him go. Otherwise, he'll be picked by name and we'll continue to struggle at the back long term.

Sad but I agree. Jan is not the player he was.

Maybe we can do it over a Zoom call or something

Not beyond the realms of possibility :)

Edit: you are one of those super-forecasters aren't you. Got any lottery numbers?

Edit again: message to the club/sky/BT I would pay good money to be part of a zoom feed to the stadium and have the stadium cams live feed the game to me.

If Jan is allowed to leave I bet Juve/Athletics pick him up, he becomes a stalwart for them for the next 3 years and we are made to look like utter mugs.

Then we should be happy for him, but he needs that move to, it's easier to play as a defender there than in the Premier League where you are more exposed. It's possible to age in Juventus back line, difficult here. We should be aware how he'll perform for us going forward, not fear what he can do elsewhere.

Don’t think we’ll look like mugs, he could go to another big club and do well, but it doesn’t change the fact that the last few months (when we were actually playing) he hasn’t look great at all.

Please don’t be silly spurs and offer him a deal.

He’s not up to it anymore so let’s let him go so we are left with the memories of how good he was for us.

Imagine thinking Cameron Carter-Vickers or Fagan-Walcott would be better than Jan. One of them has been shit in the Championship and the other is ok at youth level and untested at best.

Jan deserves way more respect.

Tanganga, Dier, Toby and Sanchez is good if we can bring in a DMC.
We'll also have Davies back who can cover.
I also don't see Foyth and Jan leaving in the same window t

Are they better than Gary Mabbutt and Ledley King? It's not a matter of disrespect, it's about timing.

In any normal year I would sadly agree that it is time for him to leave us. However, it is not a normal time right now and the sport has been plunged into a deep financial crisis in the midst of a global health crisis. Money is at a premium now and whatever money we have will be used for DM, RB and a 2nd striker. We wont have the ability to sign a CB. So we should just re sign Jan and address the position next summer.

His days at being able to cope with the PL are looking numbered, if he can extend his career by moving away then that's great for him.
