Saw this on Instagram but couldn't share so found it on reddit.

Maddison and Mikey having to get our and walk to the stadium before the game due to traffic.

Imagine coming out of the pub and bumping into these two!

I missed kick off by a few minutes so no chance of rubbing shoulders with Madders and Moore. Heard Timo's goal from a loo in the East Stand!

That was some free kick, I think it was onana on the end of the wall who even jumped, and he still got it up and down from 19/20 yards . Top drawer that

More of a bend around the wall but excellent free kick. Loved how he just took it as soon as the whistle went.

Would love to find a way to accommodate him in the side - he has genuine quality

Could even be wide left? Seems too good to leave out of the team, but tricky to accommodate in midfield given others are making very good cases at the moment

I'd expect next weekend we'll see both him and Kulusevski start. We just need 2 in midfield against better opposition.

When was our last direct free kick goal before today?

Not counting Kane vs Brentford as it was laid off to him.

It was good because of how quickly he hit it, the whistle blew and it was instant. Watch 99.9% of free kicks and when the whistle blows to start play the keeper is rarely fully attentive. He's still eyeing up his wall and the opposition players because there is usually a delay between when the ref signals the kick to be taken and when it is actually struck.

Soon as he stepped up I knew he'd score. Just the way he was positioned and so eager to take it.

After seeing Kane take dreadful freekicks for years it's always nice to see someone that can.

Are Porro and Madders the only ones with this in the locker? I haven't seen it from Porro yet but he's got one in there 🤣

Having two players who can hit a dead ball these days seems to be two more than a lot of other teams have!

Must have been Eriksen

Edit: or that Son FK vs Watford, that everyone missed and it hit the far corner (2021…)

Yeah that Son one is the last one. I think the Eriksen one on the last day of the 2018/19 season is the last time an actual shot was taken directly from a free kick that went in
