Wish Hugo all the best and a speedy recovery .

However ,the howler he made was one of the worst top tier fuckups I've ever seen .His rank stupidity gifted Brighton the match .

Need a new 'keeper imo .

it was a doozy but the way we're playing its hard to say we would have gone on to win that match had we not conceded so early.

You know it's bad when you read this and take a second to think which one you're referring to.

Especially when it’s 2 in 2 league games lol

Lloris as a reliable keeper is finished. His greatest attribute was his lightening speed off his line and pin point decision making when doing so. These days or at least since we became reliant on pissing about with the ball at the back Lloris seems to stay in his 6 yard box. His ability at crosses is poor, he can’t kick the bloody ball and he’s no better than Gazzaniga with shots close to him.

It was only last season that ITK said Gazza wasn’t good enough as a number 2, never mind number 1. We need a new quality keeper and a promising back up or someone experienced who can do the basics eg command his area.

Unfortunately, it's probably true that Lloris is as much a victim as the rest of the players.

He's an outstanding sweeper-keeper that is now being asked to play as a completely different type of player - probably one he most definitely isn't, and I don't know the name of it, but it's a keeper that can pass with accuracy.

He's still a great reaction shot-stopper, but he's going to get caught out time and time again in this system, as he does with France.

Seems like another priority signing required..we have a few now with so many leaving at the end of the season. Not sure who will fund it as ENIC won’t do what’s really needed.
Gutted for Hugo. And Dim Sherwood continues to be complete prick with his comments.

I’m sure ENIC and our Chairman will hunt high and low to bring in one of the best keepers in world football

I can see Levy lining up 40/50m bids for January as we speak

Did Lloris just arrive one day and ask for a trial? Pretty sure he was one of Europe’s top rated keepers when our supposedly incompetent and tight-fisted chairman and board secured his services.

Careful, I faced a tsunami of shit for suggesting Hugo might need replacing last season.

Hugo's do not grow on trees my friend. God only knows how long that amazing bit of business had been going on for

Also keepers prices have shot up since the bargain Lloris deal which makes it even less likely that we get another World Class keeper as a replacement

The year we paid £15m for Hugo the record for a goalkeeper was £15.8m. To suggest that this was another bit of low-ball bargain hunting by Levy is just nonsense. I guess it just doesn’t fit your anti Levy narrative.

He’s superb for France. Absolutely decisive in the last World Cup at crucial times.

Wasn’t Buffon’s fee higher than that?
