Poch seemed to imply in his post match interview that it was a bad injury. Doubt we will see him again this season. I just hope this isn't the end of his career. Sad moment.

Wow that’s horrific. Hope you now have full mobility mate and no lasting pain or anything.

Miraculously made a full recovery after years of physical therapy. As a musician it was hard to take but I’m even more grateful now to play. That was a bit of an extreme case but I believe it’s fully warranted to be very worried for Hugo. Best case scenario is he’s out for the season I’d say.

I’ve done my arm like that. Severed an artery, had to have it surgically reattached and couldn’t feel a damn thing in my arm for close to two years. I hope that’s not even close to the case for Hugo.
I got knocked off my bike by a bunch of deaf kids... didn’t hear me, were walking backwards to sign to each other. My arm did exactly this. That was 7 years ago. I still don’t have full mobility and my strength is probably 30% reduced on what it was, and it was my dominant elbow I broke. Was touch and go if I was getting plates and pins but the surgeon decided against it, going for minimal invasive and intensive physio.

I am hoping desperately for the best, and quietly dreading the worst. Hugo’s been my favourite keeper going back to when he was at Nice pulling off some incredible saves. I was thrilled when he signed for us, and still love the bones of the guy. It just looked... horrendous,

Quote from Poch:

The news is not good from the hospital, but we need to wait, through the website they are going to explain the situation properly. But of course everyone saw on the pitch when he landed, it was not a good situation and the news is not so good

I know they have no excuses for today’s result but when you’re in our run and this happens 3 mins in... I mean you can slightly understand how demoralising that must be.

We desperately needed the first goal today, we didn’t even get a chance to grow into the game

We all knew it... but hearing it makes it more real.

No idea how reliable this news is

Based on that image that's in here, it looks to me like his elbow bend was fine but his shoulder has rotated beyond the usual range of movement which makes the elbow look backwards. I'm only judging it on the one image but that would be significantly better than what it initially appeared.

Hoping for the best for Hugo.

Worrying we have Southampton 3rd choice goalie as number 1 until at least January, most probably the season.

I mean, I’m no doctor, but his arm was back to front??:cautious:

I have 0 physiotherapy knowledge but I do character animation and for what it's worth it looks like he's over rotated the shoulder rather than broken his elbow joint. We might get lucky and it be a rotator-cuff injury rather than a break.

Even if no bones are broken/fractured/whatever he has to have done ligament damage of some degree.

For those who are looking out for others I have removed the picture. XXXXXX

Oh by the way some found it educational, they were able to discern what the problem may be.

I am a bit adverse to bad language so perhaps you could refrain from using it.

If true, good news he hasn't broken anything. Hopefully nothing major tendon/ligaments wise as it did look nasty. Saying that, it's time for a new keeper. He's been a good servant, but we need to move on from him. These errors are absolutely dreadful and no longer that rare.

"Through the website they are going to explain the situation properly" is an oxymoron if ever I heard one.

It will be a typical Spurs vague message of ‘Lloris has picked up a big knock, he needs time to heal, rest and then commence rehabilitation when he’s ready’.
