But, seriously, why isn't there any news on him. It's all too quite.

Stop wasting your time on reddit, TheAmerican! ;)

out again today. Will he play for us again?!

I know we Spurs fans tend towards paranoia, but I think you're inventing an issue here - given the location of his injury, it's not really a surprise it's taking a while to heal up and there's no point risking him with Vorm doing a capable job.

If our intention is to keep Lloris, we'd also want Vorm to be happy with being number two. Since our number two is as good as he is, there's absolutely no reason to rush Lloris back.

I keep panicking with Vorm in goal, but you can easily forget how good he is too.

I'm not looking for issues per se, just there are always vultures around us every summer transfer window it seems, just worried Madrid will come splashing cash again. I heard it's between Hugo and De Gea, so maybe Hugo being injured for the end of the season will make them look more toward Manchester - here's hoping anyway!

In Spain, they're saying it's between De Gea and Cech. They haven't mentioned Hugo at all.

Guardian stirring on Hugo leaving for CL club - no quotes at all.
Hoping ITK is right and he and the fam are happy.
Would love it if he were here when the new stadium opens......and if he wants to leave after that first season so be it

How's his injury going? It was first said it wasn't very serious, and he's missed two games already.

Speculations and off the record briefings about his future can't be a big surprise at this stage. He's a bona fide world class player and those tend to gravitate towards the very best clubs.

This is how it starts... We'll take comfort from the lack of quotes, but it's worrying as we know how this story usually ends at Spurs - with us selling our best players.

This is unfair. Any club who are not part of the elite are always vulnerable to lose their best players. The team that finished second in the prem last season lost their best player. Arsenal have regularly had their best players poached. It's not just a spurs thing.

As soon as we signed Vorm last season I accepted Lloris would leave this summer, and definitely without CL. That was a huge sign. Why would Vorm come and be our second keeper, unless of course he was assured he'd be the number one season after. Its possible he's come happy to be the number two for the foreseeable but I never really believed that.

I'm totally prepared for Hugo to be sold this summer, but if he isn't its a huge bonus.

I don't think it is unfair, I didn't say that it isn't the case for other clubs, of course it is - although Arsenal appear to have passed that stage by now - but it doesn't stop it being true for us.

Vorm is a very good backup, but I don't really see him as anything other than a mid-tabling first choice goalkeeper, it would be a huge drop from Hugo.. having said that, quite a few of the teams around and above us don't have top-draw keepers either. Perhaps it makes it even more scary to think of where we would be sitting in the table with a Mignolet, Ospina or Hart :p in goal...

To be perfectly honest, losing Lloris wont be a huge impact. Of course , it will be painful to see him in a United shirt but fact is even he couldnt keep a cleansheet since November - courtesy our leaky defense.

I dont think Vorm for Lloris is bad replacement. Vorm isnt a sweeper keeper like Lloris, but IMO has very god distribution including fast long throws which Lloris doesnt possess.

Biggest loss in Lloris going will be the perspective that yet another world class player has left us.

There are very decent keepers out there at not so expensive price.

In PL, Adrian from west ham would be brilliant - has got only one year on the deal - but I guess it would be difficult to deal with their lot.

I have several links on my Facebook page to Spurs fan sites saying Hugo is off because he wants UCL footy.
