Not as many as Hugo. He is bound to make mistakes and will continue to do so.

I don't know if they make as many as Hugo or not, but every keeper is bound to make mistakes. The reason Hugo Lloris is a world class goal keeper is because he has that rare ability to keep his team in a game by making extraordinary save after extraordinary save.

Also, to call yesterday's goal a mistake is a bit harsh. Yes, It's true that Hugo could have done better in that play, but it was also a difficult play to make.

I thought he had a great game yesterday despite his 'mistake' with their goal.

Great goalkeepers play behind great defences. He looks dodgy now because our defence is giving up more chances.

It works both ways, I don't think they have faith in him.

How many times recently have we seen players trying to usher the ball back (thinking it's Hugo of four years ago that actually leaves his box) and he's no where to be seen and they have to then take drastic action and have a moan as to why he is not further up.

Giving an early goal away
is never a good look
but overall yesterday
he played well
with several clean saves
and no tragic distribution errors.

although we have more important gaps in our squad to fill this summer, if a decent GK became available then we should certainly have a very good look.

The stats are evidence that Hugo Llloris is both an elite shot stopper, which is undoubtedly the most important aspect of goal keeping, and an elite sweeper. Sure, he may fall a bit short in other areas of the game, but it's baffling that any fans would suggest getting rid of a player who's at the top of the league in such key areas just because he sometimes makes mistakes.

Are the stats observers still happy?

As I said a month back we need to monitor his development very closely...its not really good enough unfortunately :(

It was really highlighted last night just how important goalkeeping football ability is to our play. We do play out from the back and its mixed up with long balls played upto Kane.

Gazza is by far and away superior to Lloris in this department who is quite frankly shit and brings so many nervous moments to our back 4.

So there begs the question; when should we be looking to bring in a new number one.

IMO it should be a pressing issue for our club, not neccessarily a number one straight away but certainly a keeper that has the potential to oust Lloris and who is adept at playing with his feet.

All good things come to an end. I hope the club is on the ball with this
Cough...

still the best keeper we've had in ages.
He's been a wonderful servant and one of if not the best keeper we've ever had.

But it's been evident his time is coming to an end for a while.

But it will be typical spurs with this. Reactive not proactive.
