This thread is a great way of working out who hasn’t got a clue about goalkeeping. Lloris has made a few mistakes, but he’s also played 230 odd more games than Gazzaniga for us in a higher risk system. And their mistake tallies are probably about equal, even then.

If you actually think their ability or talent are comparable, you’re barking. I can’t wait to have him back, talking about the start of the season when our defence had downed tools is redundant, what can he do when the whole team decides to forget how to use their feet? He remains one of our most loyal and talented players. Kane makes a load of mistakes too, as do Son, Eriksen, Toby et al. Making out Lloris is in any way more culpable than the rest is (and excuse my language) absolutely bananas.
Firstly this. Secondly, you can visibly see the uncertainty Gazzinga creates in our defence. Sanchez constantly is looking at him when the opposition break to see what he will do. Whereas the defence have certainty when Lloris is coming and that makes a huge difference.

We are currently defending like gomes is in goal again. Once he is taken out and Lloris steps in I’m sure our defence will not so mysteriously tighten up

So, ehmmm, I think is safe to say that those predicitions about Lloris career being over after his elbow injury were dead wrong, right?

Get him back to top form asap and then we can sell asap.
I'm serious. I'm glad he's OK and his career's not over but he's not going to get any better and hasn't been at his peak for quite a while. Before he got injured he was in poor, fragile form and arguably a liability.

That post basically epitomises Spurs chat. You get a nice insightful, stat-backed post like this:

Thought this article on BBC about expected goals was quite interesting, don't think it's been shared yet. Know it's not everyone's favourite stat but really highlights the difference between our keepers. (Not that anyone should need stats for that)

Followed by some absolute bollocks from people who simply don't know what they're talking about.

Let's see what Mourinho's instructions are first.
A lot of the crazy play from the back I attribute to Poch's instructions. On Wednesday Hugo looked much more like a normal keeper.

Yes he has also had the odd flap or weird decision, but name a WC keeper who doesn't. Even Neuer does odd stuff.

Odd descision by Lloris vs Southampton before Tanganga's clearance?

Took you nearly 2 days to write this post? Bit odd to randomly think, first thing on a Monday morning, "ugh, that split second decision Lloris made really wound me up - I'm going to tell SC about it"

Very aggressive. You don't know what's happened to me or where I've been for the last two days.

Not aggressive at all, not sure how you've inferred aggression from my post. If you've been busy/embroiled in drama for two days - it makes it even weirder that one split-second moment from Lloris is still eating away at you.

So you're saying I'm not allowed to ask others' opinions on an incident or I'm not allowed to comment at all? I thought comments were allowed! What exactly is the time limit on commenting on a game after it has finished? Is there a rule on this that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me.

How very kind of you to allow a day. I would have thought careful reflection rather than knee jerking would be encouraged. I would suggest your reaction has more to do with your annoyance at any suspected criticism of Lloris.

I think Poch didn't do him much favours trying to turn him into Manuel Neuer, in fact his loyalty to Hugo was partly a reason for his downfall IMO, trying to turn him into something he's not. Anyway he looks back to his best now and looks more confident.
