So what do we reckon on Hugo's future with us? It's 6 days into Jose's tenure and our club captain has been nowhere to be seen. Of course I appreciate the guy is injured and not playing, but you would think a club captain would have featured in press conferences by now, or otherwise visible and generally showing some leadership. Has Jose even spoken to him yet. Lloris might well be the first casualty of Jose making his mark on team selection, he may keep Gazza as first choice even when Lloris regains fitness

Hugo is out for the season and rehabilitating.

He's one of the best keepers in the world and there's no way Jose won't want him.
Exactly, I don't think theres one player who will appreciate the 'less faffing around with ball between the GK/CBs/WBs' approach more than Hugo.
He's not daft, he must know its a weakness of his.

If there's any reason that Hugo will leave, its because he pledged himself to Poch ages ago. I have a feeling that wherever he goes, Lloris will follow.

Shame then he hasn’t worked on it and improved it. His kicking for a professional footballer is a disgrace And Maureen will not tolerate his regular stupid mistakes.

Lloris wouldn't be messing around with the ball at the back anymore because he'll be under instruction to kick it therefore minimising the errors so he has every chance of getting back in the team.

It comes down to whether he's the same keeper when he comes back in the team.

I do find it odd he hasnt said anything publicly as club captain. But he was the only one that made it crystal clear his allegiance is more with Poch than us

Lloris always said he'd be here as long as Poch is. He also has become a liability in terms of his lapses. I think once he is fit it would be a good time for him to move on, maybe somewhere like PSG. In fact I can see Poch and Lloris being reunited there next summer. I'd be happy for Gazza to be our number 1 as he has shown he is more than up to it.

Completely agree that i think Poch and Lloris will end up at PSG together.
However imo Gazza is nowehere good enough to be our long term number 1 and we should be looking for an upgrade

BTW, those who keep saying how awful Lloris is with the ball at his feet and want to contrast him against Ederson (because he's supposedly amazing in that aspect of the game), should watch the mistake Ederson made today against Shakhtar. If Lloris had made that, plenty of people here would be pissing all over him and crying about him not being as good as Ederson or Allison.

Of course a keeper playing out from the back is going to make mistakes, but ederson playing with his feet is miles better than Lloris playing with his feet
