He looked a fair bit taller, wonder if he's had a growth spurt. He looks a very stylish player.

He has that look, face and hair wise, of one of those cocky ****s you see join academies at 13 or 14 thinking they're the big I am before ending up working in Lidl

What does that make Onomah, Edwards, Walkes and Harrison?

Have a feeling about him. Seeing him the other day, he looked physically different. I remember the exact same thing with Kane in around pre season and some cup games at the start of the season that AVB left and Sherwood took over. He wasn't really scoring much in those odd appearances or anything but you could just tell - he looked stronger, had more of a presence, a little sharper etc than in some of his even earlier Europa Cup appearances under Harry/AVB first season as well.

Winks looks like he's at about that stage. He's definitely had a growth spurt to combine with strength and conditioning work. Looks more like he has started to show some of the physical tools he may end up being blessed with to go along side that balanced and composed thought of play and technique he had already displayed in some rare sightings before.

Whatever is truly going on with Bentaleb maybe we will never know, but perhaps the notion to sell him is strengthened somewhat, safe in the knowledge of the potential emergence of Winks and maybe Onumah. Maybe a window into how much Poch likes Winks.

Wanyama helps to strengthen Dier role.
Bentaleb was mostly seen as the best potential player to rotate in for a more Dembele role if he got fit and was in the plans. That area is obviously where it would seem most likely that Winks may aspire to be playing in.

There's something about him, he reminds me of a technically excellent German style CM. Long way to go, but I'm excited about Harry Winks

I absolutely love what I see from Winks. He reminds me a lot of Eriksen in how he collects the ball to feet and turns to play passes but also reminds me of Modric the way he moves and skips away from traffic when he's on the ball. He's such a positive player, always looking to play forwards where he can and be even more incisive if there's an opening to do so.

If we get his development right then I think he will be a massive player for us in future.

Definitely looks a lot more robust than previous times I've seen him - which admittedly is not that much. Can anyone tell me whether he would play as a back up DM or is he more of a CM?

Was about to say the same he is exactly like Eriksen when he comes deep. Not a bad trait to have
