Think it's better if he is moved on. I don't see him being content being a squad player at us so best he moves. Could be a handy player for a Palace or Bournemouth. Confident Skipp can come in and as a minimum offer what Winks does given game time with difference being Skipp is 19 and Winks is 24. Filed Winks under Townsend, Livermore, Mason, Carroll etc a while ago.

I think he plays because we have no other choices.

He can only be a squad player for me. But I rather hope he can play somewhere because I feel his ceiling has reached. Very overrated because he's English IMVHO.

Nothing wrong with being a squad player, young and HG, loves the club and had some good performances (last 3 games vs City, Liverpool). Not a starting material but that's fine.

He was awful last night. But in the right team I still think he can be an important cog.

He was basically left as a lone midfielder last night and is shot of confidence.

I'm willing to give him the chance - he puts the effort in, we've seen his qualities before, and he's playing a in a 'tactical' system that does not suit his abilities at the moment.

he never plays well when we play 3 at the back

tbh the whole team never plays well in that set up

Saw him in a quiet late night Starbucks this past Saturday and didn’t even bother asking for a selfie, that tells you everything.

It's not his fault but he just isn't of the required standard to be a regular starting midfielder for us. He will be a very useful squad player but we desperately need an upgrade on him.
