Delighted for him.

We’ve provided more England internationals than any other club and it won’t be long before our players have provided the most goals of any club for the national side too.

Was I the only one who was somewhat surprised at the lackluster reaction from Kane to Winks scoring what I believe is his first England goal. Strange both being Tottenham home grown products!

Winks is adaptable enough to play our deep role and as could be seen today, can also play a more box to box as well, he doesn't lack energy. A little problem we have (until he develops stamina) is that NDombele is a sports car with an Hillman Imp engine....he can't play two games in a week. Lo Celso is only just getting the run of games. Sissoko is not a quick enough ball distributor to play six. This tells me that in the normal run of things Poch will have to rotate game to game, not from strength but weakness.

I'd like to see

Son Kane Lo Celso
Ndombele Winks
Sissoko
Davies TA/JV Sanchez Foyth
Gaz

Until January when we can buy a DM. Lo Celso as a winger isn't ideal, but maybe he can play that floating role Eriksen played in 16/17? As @doctor stefan Freud alluded to, I feel a 3 man midfield is the way forward. Just absolutely NEED a defensive midfielder.

Regarding Winks, Lo Celso and N'dombele, it makes you wonder what Poch had in mind when he bought the latter two, was it just a case of buying 2 good players and fitting them in somewhere or did he have a specific role for the pair of them ?

I think he'd love to, if only we had someone to take the DM role. I'd personally quite like to see Skipp get his chance.

Might as well. I said the other day he should play in a three with a DM (and Ndombele obviously). Skipp could be that guy and just needs a few games. Poch will play sissoko though.

After the game in his interview his face lit up when he was asked about Winks’s goal. He couldn’t of been happier.

I think Lo Celso can play CM or AM so his versatility allows different options in CM.

He's congratulated both him and Mount on social media so I don't think you need to worry.

Diamond I imagine, Winks in deep lying, Ndombele in 8, Lo Celso in 10 with Kane/Son uptop but we lack the fullbacks/DM to make it successful.

I actually think that with Ndombele getting up to speed and Sessegnon/ Lo Celso now fit, plus Dele getting closer to form, we finally have the tools available to make the diamond work, irony being we probably won’t see it now after how disastrous it has been earlier this season.

I don't know how it works because defensively it's weak, it gives the opposition full backs too much space.
