Actually can’t believe what I’m reading on here tonight. Thought he was pure class tonight levels above anyone else on the pitch. 12 goals in 13 matches his 2nd best start to a season ever.

That one pass in the second half was awesome. Nobody else on the pitch plays that.

He hasn't peaked especially when certain aspects of his game are improving like passing, hold up play, his acceleration has definitely decrease and probably his reactions has a little.

I think he's just evolving into a different player from the one we're used to.

He’s evolving into a different person too don’t forget. He’s married and has two children. That changes regular people in their day to day jobs, why would it not change a footballer.

He has a lot of responsibilities now off the pitch and is still a young man. England captain has to do a lot with the FA too I think.

He’s been good this season anyway when we play to his strengths or actually get the ball to him in attacking areas. Maybe he needs to up his work rate but as I just mentioned he has a lot of other aspects of his life effecting his energy in games now. He’ll find a way round that though, he’s far too good a player not to.

Is it just me or do England get a lot of penalties. At this rate he could break England scoring records without ever scoring another goal from open play.

I actually felt Kane played well, some lovely passes (including two for Sterling, one to win the penalty, the other Sterling really should’ve buried). Could’ve done better with the one chance he had but was the only England player offering any composure or thought. Seems it’s just popular to deride him right now.

In Charlie Nicholas’ pre match, he said Kane’s been off form. Since when is 5 goals in 8 league games off form? 4 from open play, across 4 matches, and all very good goals too (in different ways).

The rags post match rating actually recognise Kane as the best player for England last night, it’s you lot that need to get a grip.

Agree - he was England's best midfielder by far; what we need is to clone hime so he can play in the no.10 role and as the CF

And you're right - I swear I see a different game than many on here; put Kane in a team with the likes of Silva and De Bruyne for example and he would break all types of scoring records. We should be grateful to have him and thank the Good Lord that he is loyal to the cause.

With Kane's open play skills, I think it would be a great option to have another number 9 ready to play with Kane playing 10!

If Charlie Nicholas says something then the opposite is normally true.

Harry Kane will always be a target. He is world class as far as I’m concerned, I will always back Kane. Of late you sense the ankle injuries has forced a slight change to his game and imo is missing a fit Dele Alli who played many balls to him.

Im not having a go at Son on form he is world class but he doesn’t look for Kane instead goes himself, that’s fine if others are playing to Kane strengths. Give Kane the ball in position his likely to score he isn’t a wing forward and at time will rely on service.

Our centre midfield not performing and England’s not performing probably explains more than anything else.

I generally think that the thing about Kane is that he scores a lot of penalties. Missed ones tend to get quickly forgotten if they weren't crucial.

I have been saying for over two years Kane should be No 10 and Son No 9 as the team as a whole would benefit because he would still score his quota of goals plus his passing would provide many scoring chances for others.
Perhaps when Ndembele and LE Celso are up to speed then change him back to No 9 as he would hopefully be given more scoring chances from these two instead of almost having to do it all himself.

I think thats somewhat what we’ve been trying with the diamond but it’s not working

maybe buy a proper number 9 to play with him instead?
I like Son but he’s not a number 9. It would be another position we’d be going for square pegs in round holes putting him there.
