I believe that there is an underlying anti Kane agenda and it does not matter how he plays or how many goals he scores the haters will hate.
There are people that love the Salah / Mane / Aguero / type of flashy albeit brilliant players and its difficult for them to understand that the Kane / Shearer / type players will always endure as there game is based on simplicity without the flashy moments of others.
The greatest of my time and I think all time goalscorer was jimmy greaves and altho capable of great goals he was in many games anonymous but still managed a goal or two . That is the beauty of Kane just when you think he is off form he pops up with a hat trick .
And people still do not take into account his all round game where he can split a defence with a pass and work back to help the defence.
Kane is a gem a brilliant and wonderful player but it seems some expect him to be Messi or Ronaldo or Salah and he is not he is Harry Kane the main man.

Almost perfect.

Don’t ever include Salah with Messi or Ronaldo though. I know you probably didn’t mean to insinuate he’s in that category of class, but still. Kane is better than Salah. Different players of course but I know who’d I rather have

I wouldn't mind seeing some goalscoring stats that excluded penalties. I bet Kane would still be near the top.

These players that have said about them " look he scores x amount of goals and no penalties " well I sure of my facts here and that is they don't take penalties for the following reasons no1 they have not got the bottle to take pens. no2 they have taken penalties but have missed so many that the pen duty is taken of them no3 the responsibility is too much for them and they physically cannot take a pen because they care too much no4 they have taken penalties in the past and whether they score or not does not faze them because they don't care enough therefore penalty kick responsibility taken away from them.
If you wanted someone to take a penalty to save your life I would choose Harry and far from discounting penalties they should count double .
Just being sarcastic towards " penalties should not count " merchants .

If successfully taken penalties are not considered as goals, then we might as well do away with giving penalties, as it would be meaningless.

Penalties are given when a member of the defending team either commits a foul or handles the ball in the box. If penalties aren’t given for that in the box, then free kicks also shouldn’t be given for similar offences at any other place on the pitch.

Then, players would intentionally use their hands or illegally foul their opponents, knowing fully well that they won’t be punished and that the officials would just allow play to go on.

Would anyone want that to happen ? It’s going to end up in free for all incidents in every match.

Boy, that escalated quickly.

I'm bored so I just had a look at how Harry compares to the best goalscorer ever in the Premier League.

Shearer scored 260 goals in the PL, which included 58 penalties so 202 goals excluding pens. He played 441 games which means he has scored every 2.18 games.

Harry has 128 goals which includes 19 penalties so 109 goals minus pens. He's played 185 games so a goal every 1.7 games.

Smith, Greaves, Chivers, Crooks, Allen, Lineker, Sheringham, Keane, Kane... Spurs have absolute pedigree in world class centre forwards.

Spurs fans questioning Harry Kane need to start being honest with themselves. Do you enjoy the game of football, or are you just looking for something to moan about?

Kane is a goal scorer. If hes scoring goals, then he's in form, whatever the type of goal was doesn't matter.
I think some people may be expecting too much from him, if they think that hes not in form. I mean, we're 4 games into the season and hes already finding the net regularly, what more do you want from a striker?

Another complaint I heard was " its only Bulgaria " Well no 1 team in the world played the team 211 in the world =top verses bottom the scoreline was 4.0 which just proves what we in the real world know and that is teams that sit with eleven men behind the ball and it is difficult to score goals .An example recently Italy played one of the lowest ranked teams and could only win 1.0 I believe the angst aimed at Harry is non spurs fans and even then its mostly on social media . Harry is great social media is crap.

He draws criticism because people have a bias as to what a World Class footballer will ideally look and play like, so when he's not scoring goals he looks like an average Joe, when he's scoring he only scores penalties and tap ins, when he has a bad game it's magnified x 1000 because it's expected due to confirmation bias, he doesn't fit he ideology of people's interpretation of a WC footballer.

Players like Aguero, Salah, Hazard etc...are more silkier on the eye and more aesthetically pleasing to watch, they're more sexier and you'll probably find that youngsters want to emulate them more than Harry...They're quick, speedy, more skillful, they look cool where as Harry looks like your run of the mill footballer who's lucky to be where he is.

Kane is a player's player, only footballers or managers will really give him that respect he deserves in the game because they know how devastating he is and can be, he'll never get the full respect of football fans until he retires.

I'm not sure if it was because he was running alongside Sterling and Sancho, but he looked tired. Southgate needed to sub him on the hour mark imo, but our shit defenders stopped that from happening.

I think Kane was frustrated that Stirling kept taking his positions in the box. On another night he would have had another hat trick

The penalty would have been retaken in the PL as the keeper was off his line.

It wasn’t his best penalty, but the keeper had set off early and cut down the angle, guessing right.

Harry seems capable of going top corner with ease, so maybe he should stick to that method. They can’t be saved then!

I haven't seen anyone comment on Barkley 'diving', looked a lot softer than the Kane 'dive' against Newcastle. I wonder if people have an agenda.
