Think you’re missing the point. No one is disputing he is world class or still able to score goals.
They are talking about the physical aspects of his game ( something that made him the player that he was). And whether it is a deliberate tactical change or one necessitated by injuries/accumulated fatigue.
It’s a perfectly valid observation, although I agree that the assertion in the article that Kane doesn’t fit the system anymore is taking the argument too far.
I was responding to the Liew article predominantly. To suggest Kane is the reason our pressing has decreased is ridiculous as there clearly wasn't a particular uptick when he was out last season.
Plus, suggesting that there is something wrong with being knackered after an early season end to end North London Derby is absurd. Below is a picture of Aubamayang collapsed on the pitch right after the final whistle blew. There was numerous players looking absolutely battered, which is understandable considering the pace of the game and how early it is in the season. Only Kane gets called out though. It's just frustrating to see our own fans fall for these daft media driven narratives.
