Pep clarified his comments a few times since then, he did mean to say we are a one man team.

No aggression towards you mate, that wasn't why I posted the tweet.

I found it interesting because of us only losing 2 out of the 18 games he's missed. It surprised me, that's all.

Bet we get an instagram this week of him walking with no brace. Normally do at 2 weeks lol.

We already had that last week, well kind of. He posted a photo of him laying on a bed in some spa hotel with no sign of any strapping or brace etc.

You know if we get to the final Harry will go full John Terry and make sure he finds a way to get on the pitch. He deserves it.

I might be wildly wrong here, in fact I probably am, but is it all something to do with somehow lessening the effect of the next World Cup? I’m sure I read something (ages ago) about all the top leagues adjusting season start/finish dates over time to help mitigate the effect of the extended WC season. I’ve not kept up with it all though but that’s the impression I have.

Next wc was 4 years away. Every other league started after us. Sure we could have had an extra week rest?

I think it was meant to be something they did gradually over the years rather than one big adjustment, it's the only thing really that I can think of, that's not to say there isn't another reason but assuming it is the answer, there's no reason I can see why the schedule of change has to be uniform or co-ordinated. I'm not sure an extra week amounts to much in the grand scheme of things.

But at the end of the day we'll likely never know the reason, it's all one big guessbag.

Riles me a bit when pointed out we've won more games without Kane or Son has more freedom etc.

Kane is a world class (and I don't throw that word around lightly at all) centre forward and Son has played perfectly well in conjunction with him in the past.

If Son is at all stunted then it is up to Poch to make sure he adjusts his tactics to ensure he gets the best out of the both of them and I'm sure if will only need slight tweaking to do this.

Kane is awesome and for me it feels a bit less special when he's not available due to injury, he's become such a talisman for us.

You see, this is what I personally believe is part of the problem.

As good & vital as Kane is, he shouldn't be the one making the decisions about whether he's fit or match ready.
After any injury the coaching medical staff are always going to ask the player, 'How does it feel'.
They're not psychic, and have no idea whether or not he's feeling pain etc.

Anyone who actually thinks that harry will decide whether he plays or not needs to have a rethink.
If he's fit, and he feels good, he plays imo...he's that good.

I do not question, or disagree with a single word of that.

My point was, Kane is so driven & desperate for goals, records, to score for this club, that it seems like he's willing to say he feels fine, even though he knows within himself that he's probably better off waiting a further week or two to be at the peak of his powers.

Yes a 70% - 80% Kane is better than most the strikers in the league, but a 100% Kane is almost impossible for opposition to deal with.

Hopefully I've explained myself a bit better this time & I'm sorry for causing any confusion previously.

I think it makes a difference when Son is played at LW and when Son is played as a striker with Kane. Son & Kane at LW & ST respectively is great, both at striker feels crowded.

But I could also be completely wrong about that.

If we lost Eriksen, could Kane become our playmaker? His passing is exceptional and we seem to be more of a threat with pace from Son and Lucas at the very top.

Kane -- Dele
Son --- Lucas

Maybe in a few years time he can drop back, but If you’ve got the best striker in the world you play him as a striker
