Expecting him to get injured either against Chelsea or Maccabi. Feels almost inevitable actually.
I really wonder if Jose for example has agreed to wait until the end of the window as there is a better chance then of signing someone of Milik’s quality perhaps top target compared to say someone like Josh King who perhaps in theory we could’ve just slapped £20m down and got done a few weeks ago.

We’ve survived so far but this week is absolutely massive now and Son getting injured really hasn’t helped things at all. If we got out of both cups and Lose to man.u or Kane gets an injury I really think it’ll have been because we didn’t get that 2nd striker in early enough because if we had then I don’t think Son would’ve played as many minutes and so in theory wouldn’t have done his hamstring today and Kane the same as he’s going to get flogged next week now.

Also huge shame we dropped the 2 points right at the end today as that + Son injury is a real kick in the teeth just before a huge win. If we’d got the 3 points or drawn but son still fit for next week then you take it and move on but both is really a huge double whammy. Test or character now and so hope we can somehow sneak some wins against Chelsea and maccabi and then get the striker and CB and ideally one more AM in and then we can start the season from there but this week looks worrying now with Son out and no striker in.

Despite a positive transfer window it’s simply inexcusable not to have a second striker by now.... it really is only a matter of time till Harry gets injured now!

you make it sound like Chelsea aint got no problems they were dreadful yesterday and we are playing a team from Israel at home - alright we have some games to play, but so be it, you just have to get on with it

Son's injuries another players opportunity - we will sign a striker - today was a travesty but overall the performance especially in the first half was right up there and I think Chelsea the Isrealis and Unitetd have plenty of their own problems

Exactly Ralph. I'd rather we end up with the best option, rather than panic and sign someone with an eye on the busy start of the season.
At the end of the day, we're playing EL qualifiers and Carabao Cup early rounds - we shouldn't be taking that into account when making a signing, it's too short-sighted.

Yes ideally we'd have someone in by now but we've waited 3 years for this mystery man, we may have to wait another week.

I want us to sign someone who's going to play, either when Kane is resting or alongside him - he's proven in the past 2 games how dangerous he is when dropping off. I don't want someone to make up the numbers.

If De Bruyne did that MOTD would spend half hour analysing it. Has anyone else that played for spurs ever had the passing range Kane has probably apart from Hoddle I don't think so.

It's the weight of his passes. He doesn't just get the ball to the player, he weights it so well that it passes the target then slows up so the player just latches on to it. It's very impressive.

THudd maybe? Not many. It's not just the passing, it's the vision/awareness too. Like Hoddle's 'radar'.

I love the guy but he can be a bit head-down blinkered at times. Can't complain though, he's on fire lately.

Yeah I think that's what makes him more of a striker than a midfielder in a way - he's always trying to score when he could be assisting. Kane was like that a few years ago and seems to have changed since the criticism he got at the World Cup.

As you say, it's not a stick to beat him with, but it does have implications at times. You could almost trademark the Son missing-a-shot-then-fake-oh-I-didnt-see-you-mate expression :D

That match has created some real Sliding Doors moments

Yeah we had the same last year during the Leicester game when we had the goal ruled out for 2-0. That's why I get so irritated when people try and convince us that the refs are the victims in all this. They lose nothing by having to make these decisions. We potentially lose a lot.

His passing range is severely underrated. Him with Bale and Sonny when fit is going to be frightening.

I assume you folks in England have a better read on this but, he's going to end up playing in both of those fucking Nations League matches isn't he? After coming off this brutal run of fixtures Southgate is just going to continue running him into the ground.

We should pull all our players from the upcoming internationals.

We won't, but we should.
Agree. Mourinho alluded to the FA/Premier League not helping with our fixture congestion (3 games a week is insane) by claiming that we don’t get treated like a big club and deserve more respect. City’s late start to the season for being in the Champion’s League is an example.

He could legitimately claim the players need a rest and withdraw them from the squad which would surely make the powers that be think again before nor helping us out...

What also annoys me is the shortsightedness, the FA and the Premier League want the best players to be playing in their competitions, to attract more viewers and therefore revenue. But if you run them into the ground these players will either get injured or forced to be rested.
