Whist I seethe idiocy of dropping Harry, yesterday was proof he was coasting and doing the minimum under poch. His talent is clear ut his effort was not. Seems Harry wasn't that impressed with poch for a Long time. His drop in form was some time ago.

Tbh though I think his worst performance of the season came against United.

I look at Vardy and he suddenly seems to have found a new burst of life and wonder if it's possible that Kane could regain some of his old bulldozing self. Yesterday was very good but I'm waiting for the Chelsea away game coming up because it's been a long time since he dominated a big game.

Loving his range of passing in addition to his goals.

Seems to be really benefit from having two wingers either side of him, Son in particular looks to be playing far more like a winger and it is getting the best out of them both.

Good to see him scoring those types of goals again. I don’t keep records, but his goals from outside the box seemed to have dried up since the ankle injuries.

Paul Parker says " Vardy better than Kane all day long " statement goes a long way to explain why he has never made it in management .
Everyone is allowed an opinion but because Vardy form up to now has been excellent this season he was eclipsed by Kane in the previous four seasons . Also as an ex pro what is the point or agenda of making this statement ? so unnecessary also lets wait till the end of the season if you want to judge on this season.

It's Talksport. They say controversial things to get mug fans to phone in/click on web links. Nothing more to it.

I wouldn't have made it through his first sentence without falling asleep or punching myself. Not because of what he said; simply because it takes a real hero to have a more boring voice than Michael Owen.

Chris Sutton on 5 live was banging on about how Kane should be dropped from the England team in favour of Tammy Abraham as he was a better all round player..................

These people actually get paid for these opinions. o_O

If Harry played 100 more premier league games without scoring a single goal... he’d still have a better strike rate than Jamie Vardy’s. I’d love to know what Paul Parker makes of that stat

Jamie Vardy's 5 full seasons in the Premier League: 175 games, 96 goals
Harry Kane's 5 full seasons in the Premier League: 167 games, 122 goals

Yeah, Vardy is much more effective than Kane.

And that's without even considering that Kane was only 21 during his first full season, whereas Vardy was 26/27.

And I haven't factored in the extra cup and European games Kane has played over Vardy in those 5 years.

Vardy: 14 domestic cup games, 3 goals. 9 European games, 2 goals.
Kane: 25 domestic cup games, 15 goals. 37 European games, 23 goals.

Anyone who suggests Vardy is even close to Kane deserves to be dismissed and ridiculed. There's a reason why Vardy is still at Leicester, despite Kante, Mahrez and Maguire stepping up, while Kane is breaking records at International and Champions League level.

I like Vardy put he is a one dimensional run in behind type striker, whilst Harry has it all, vision, passing, hold up. Vardy can never dream of playing that pass to Aurier that Harry did on Saturday

I think people are being pretty harsh on Vardy who's obviously an excellent striker.

He's not as rounded as Harry, no doubt about it, but he's still bloody good.

Of course if I had to choose, I'd go for Kane because he bring more to the table, but Vardy is still a top class striker

Excellent? Top class? What are you a tv commentator? He is good bordering ok and is one dimensional.

Excellent is a Klinsmann, Shearer, Lewandowski, Kane, Aguero, Suarez, Ibrahimovic, Greaves, Lineker etc.

Please keep your superlatives for those who deserve it.

We're getting into a semantic debate on the word 'excellent' are we? OK, as you wish.

But a 1 in 2 ratio for a club like Leicester over that period of time is bloody good

Anybody not accepting that Vardy has been one of the top strikers in England over the past half decade is kidding themselves. 96 goals in 192 premier league games, along with another 27 assists, is a brilliant record regardless what club he plays for.

By way of comparison Torres, who was considered top class, scored 85 in 212 with another 29 assists. Like Vardy he was primarily a speed merchant playing off the shoulder. Unlike Vardy, he played for Liverpool and Chelsea. If Vardy isn’t too class then neither is double European championship winning and World Cup win 110 Spanish caps Fernando Torres.

Agree, the argument seems to be on the semantics as to whether he is very good, excellent, world class etc. As these terms mean slightly different things to different people it is a nonsensical argument.

But it’s either that or do some work so I deem Vardy as very good.

The one thing Vardy has that Harry doesn’t is electric pace. In every other aspect of their game Harry beats Vardy.
