I have been saying for over two years Kane should be No 10 and Son No 9 as the team as a whole would benefit because he would still score his quota of goals plus his passing would provide many scoring chances for others.
Perhaps when Ndembele and LE Celso are up to speed then change him back to No 9 as he would hopefully be given more scoring chances from these two instead of almost having to do it all himself.
Kane has pretty much been playing as a no10 for a while.

Kane and Dele need to be playing together, the way they dovetail is reminiscent of Sherinham/Klinsmann and Berbatov/Keane.

I think if we see lo celso come back and play him from the right in a creative role and son left we may start seeing more of this.

I agree, when you look at the 15/16 and especially 16/17 season in isolation. But Alli has for some reason or another (injuries probably playing a big part) not been near the level of those two seasons in the past two, the odd game being the exception (usually against Chelski, luckily). I'm not sure he's the best option to play with Kane at this moment in time. Let him recapture some form, and then it's definitely worth a try.

Kane is still in his 20s and he's trying to be like Bergkamp when he should be more like Batistuta.

The man's shot, like Vic Wanyama, he lumbers around the game like a 50 year old.

Kane saved Poch , looks like Kane will also get Poch fired.

Its a view ..and yes Kane has changed his game in '19, possibly permanently .

Yes, the beast -mode Kane of yore was a key factor in our successful seasons .

Also the , set in stone , 'Kane fit , he plays' Poch mantra (Eg CL final) could be counterproductive .

Kane Alii > Kane Son and Kane Moura
The thing is we don't actually know now if that would be a viable option now.

Like it or not Kane can't sprint anymore with anything like the pace/acceleration he used to (and he was never rapid even then)
So that is quite a slow duo.

I'm not one that thinks pace is the be all and end all, but we are seeing Kane on the ball less than ever, second to much more than he ever has been also having more shots blocked than ever before. Add in Dele who even at his best has always been a bit of a dawdler and that duo could be a bus parker's dream.

Kane was never a speedy player though. People are confusing Kane for Son or Moura who are more reliant on pace. What has failed to happen often especially since the injuries and Dele Alli being out the team, we're not playing (imo) totally to Kane strengths and he has many by the way. We need to play the ball to Kane more in areas where he can score our attacks of late has been pretty poor.

And to those saying Kane should be dropped, you are entitled to your opinion however if you think Son and Moura are consistent enough good luck with that.

Kane is scoring virtually a goal a game yet people are dissatisfied. I think I am going mad reading some of the drivel on SC at the moment.

When we play the ball into the "areas he can score" he's second to the ball more often than not. To me it's no coincidence that Kane's drop in speed (and therefore mobility) has lead to him having his least productive spell from open play, his least involvement in matches and more blocked shots than ever.

Whether he drops into deeper positions or stays as an outright 9 (which he has a couple of times) he is not having anywhere near the same impact. You can say it's down to the service (or lack of) but when he was at it, he was his own service, and made things happen for the team and himself.

Kane isn't the problem and sometime the team has to supply the ammunition. He is scoring goals. Far more than the rest of our attackers put together. The rest of our attackers have been abysmal. Son especially has been so very waste full our midfield or defenders haven't chipped in, it's a joke people keep banging on about Kane. The most shocking area of our team is our CB. The love in that Toby and Jan get I fathom to understand why , they have been atrocious since last season and should be dropped I feel for Winks when you have a ponderous pairing at the back. Whenever Sanchez is playing CB the level of stick he get is insane like the Newcastle goal we conceded he is expected to be twice the CB of Toby and Jan, when played out of position at RB he's expected to be Kyle Walker.

I think he does look a little more laboured in his play, but he is so good at dropping deep and bringing people into the game that really we just need a couple of players smart enough to work off of him. That's at both club and country level.

Yea, even Penaldo doesn't get that much penalties.

That's a sad reality.
