Kane's performance against Leicester was good however Son was more questionable. I fact Kane played with intelligence dropping deeper to allow Son to get into more cental positions.

Son had a bad game. It happens with him and Moura very inconsistant players imo however on form they are up there with the very best.

That's why Son and Moura play for us and not Man City/Barca/Real etc

Kane’s finishing was poor his shooting was always straight at Kaspar. Has he lost his ability to strike it with power and pace from outside the box ?

Could he still be in need of a rest? Drop a few lbs? We can debate all that until the cows come home but he’s absolutely starved of service, in virtually every game he plays at the moment, for both us and England.

Eriksen almost pointless lately, Dele not done much for going on a year now, Lamela cannot be charged with creating anything above Europa group stage level, Son not the most creative, nor Lucas.
Maybe GLC and Sess can reignite him?

I’d love to see how Kane would get on with a genuine box of tricks, technically brilliant playmaker behind/either side of him. Even last night, watching an old past it Valbuena, who was never top level anyway, made me think if Olympiacos had Kane last night he’d have scored a hat trick working alongside such a smart player.
This we lack technical players who can dribble at slower speeds with the ball and have flair. We have a lot of straight line pace and players who can potentially pick a slide rule pass. But no one who can dribble past a man with trickery rather than pace.

Moura Lamela Ndombele Clarke Lo Celso Alli Sessegnon. Pochettinho needs time

Dele is a terrible dribbler.
Disagree. Dele getting a tough ride from people and the worse thing about it all he's not been able to gain full fitness. I seriously hope we take our time with him this time around . He is a tremendous player fit....I personally feel Kane has missed him and has the team.

I keep seeing all weekend people complaining about Dele and I'm staggered, the poor bastard has started 1 game away in greece.

Yep it's mind boggling....I don't understand it.

I can't quite understand it either, I think okay fair enough he didn't have a great go of it last season but I think there's reason enough to believe that a change of position and injuries were a large part of that.

However I reckon the real issue people have is that they have set in stone ideas of that people should fit into certain categories as a player, like there's 5 options to pick from in an attacking player with predetermined traits and Dele simple does not fit into them. He is somebody who has an astounding knack for making incredible runs and showing up in the big moments whilst also providing a lot of athleticism to the team which helps with our style of pressing and he uses his mind more than technical skill to pull off some audacious tricks. However because he isn't technically astute in terms of technical passes, dribbling, long shots people will just not be satisfied. It's the same reason I think in the opposite way that people give the likes of Eriksen/Ozil less shit because although they have poor games, you can technical merits and it fits within a particular skill set which is lauded.

If he played for City or Liverpool he’d score 45 league goals this season

I doubt it - Mane and Salah would have the pass the ball for that to happen. Liverpool should thank their lucky stars for Firmino.

City, maybe - Aguero could have had a double-hat trick against Watford :censored:

I suspect the same people who don’t like Dele are the same people who don’t rate winks or don’t see what dier brings to the team when he plays as a pure DM.

Certainly City, I have never seen a team score so many tap ins, tbf it's an obvious yet brilliant strategy
