Do you think Harry has a chance to be in top 3 for Ballon d'Or if he lifts the World Cup?

Doubtful, but you never know! He might get it when we win the League and CL double.

The knighthood thing is interesting. Were Moore and hurst knighted while still playing or did it come later ? Be class if dele gets a brace in final and just him and Harry get knighted lol. Imagine the Liverpool petition for Henderson to be knighted.
Bobby Moore wasn't knighted. He received an OBE in 1967. That doesn't entitle the recipient to use 'Sir' as a prefix. Geoff Hurst received an MBE in 1979 and was later knighted (allowing the Sir prefix) in 1998.

Anyone who thinks he isn't fully fit I think has it in their heads that way. He has been excellent these past 2 games. Not off the pace of it at all. He just doesn't get many opportunites in the final third against teams that sit back and defend. All our opponents so far have defended against us. He has had to play a deeper role for England to get us playing and do a job for the team. Great team player.

Even though he was already one of the best strikers in the world coming in to the tournament, I think he has matured immensely during. He seems to have developed a new selflessness in his game, dropping in to all sorts of areas that he'd ideally rather not be to benefit the players around him. He really is a team player, and a leader.

At times honestly it looks like he’s playing the role of 10/9/8. Leading the line, dropping in the hole to link play and then spraying 40 yard passes from CM. Ridiculous!

no - at least not on the evidence yet.

Even with a golden boot - unless he scores about 5 more in open play over the next two matches...

He has 6 goals which, on the face is excellent, but when you factor: 3 Pens, 2 poacher's goals, and 1 "excuse me" off his back heel - they are not the type of goals that win Ballon D'Ors

I think he'll need to do more even within the World Cup, and then continue scoring goals in the PL and CL at a high rate to have a chance at a top-3 finish.

I desperately wanted him to lift the World Cup and win the golden boot. And crazily enough going into the last week both are still possible. But in a weird way he could achieve both without actually standing out obviously like a Galactico. Although people that understand the game will appreciate his performances a lot won’t. Which in some ways is good for us in regards of say a Real Madrid. There won’t be the hype around him even if he does win golden boot like say Mbappe. People will just say oh it was tap ins and penalties which is fine by me.

Hard to score from open play if he is rugby tackled most the time.

I don't disagree - and I would add that if Sterling played in support of Kane, and could actually pick out a pass, Kane might also have more goals.

But, this question was whether he can be top-3 in the Ballon d'Or, and I don't think he has done enough to get the attention of the voters - at least not yet.

But, I think awards like Ballon d'Or happen in stages: First you have to be recognized across Europe (this is where I think Kane is now), Second you have to build the hype (If England win the WC, and Kane the Golden Boot, this is where Kane will be), and then, you have to deliver on the hype - Spurs will need a Semi-final or better run in CL, and win PL, with Kane winning the Golden Boot.

I think it will be tough for a #9 to win, because scoring goals will never be enough for a pure striker. But, Kane has a better chance than any other striker out there. And, he can even get a top-3 finish this year, if things continue to go well in the WC, and he puts on a big performance in the CL group stage.

If Kane wins the world cup, does he still have to leave Tottenham to become world class and win something? Maybe I should ask Jamie Redknapp..

Joking aside I wonder how it would affect his mentality. I’d imagine it would lift a massive weight off his shoulders. Nobody could ever through “he’s never won anything” at him.

But everyone will then just say "you'll never win anything at Tottenham"
