Fucking hell, according to the various player threads all we need to do is replace:
Vicario
Romero
Maddison
Bentancur
Sonny
Johnson
Davies
Spence
Forster
Sarr
and Werner.

Off you pop Lange. . . :cautious:
At least its not one scapegoat!

Our opposition will all sit back in a low block and look to break on the counter and maximize set plays. Simple but effective
It’s the pressing on us when we have the ball that worries me more. Lloris was bad with the ball at his feet, and unfortunately Vic is no better. Another poor judgement from whoever is in charge because we know how this works, he’ll stay because nobody will want him or afford his wages. He also throws his whole body to the ground in all directions to the shot. Like a puppet bouncing about. We all had our concerns. But like someone else said on a similar post, we hear the names of substandard players and convince ourselves they fit the team. And are actually good. Now look at us ffs.

I got a lot of heat for saying in the summer that we should look to improve. Arsenal saw a few problems with ramsdale and got raya in immediately. That killer instinct is what this club lacks

The sad thing is the only one of that list I'd keep is Romero...............are squad is awful imo.

Wow, I really don't know what you are expecting but I think we've got a decent squad, maybe missing a really special player or two but there you go.

Agree he should be commanding that space but Romero lost Gabriel rather than Romero waiting for Vicario.

Romero did get a shove from Gabriel, but equally he should have been goal side of Gabriel in the first place, not in front of him.

It's all just a bit meh though isn't it.

Decent as you say and certainly not awful, but there's no one that you think might pull something a bit special out of the bag.

I get being "in the zone" etc but he's so highly strung, it can't possibly have a positive effect on his team during matches.

As we have all said, unbelievable shot stopper.

The rest... well...

Keep him on his line!

He's like a rabid version of Gomes. Sensational shot stopper but scares the life out of you when he leaves his line.

He's fine, better than fine, at stopping shots, which is a GK's bread and butter. If Ange wants a GK who can do much more than than, and at a high level, then they have to be thinking about bringing another body in.

Before anyone jumps on me, I'm not the one dictating this. Ange seems to want an Ederson-lite clone for his high line system. Vicario simply isn't that. Maybe he can become so, maybe not.

Even if he becomes our backup GK I will worry in Cups on corners against all the giants in lower leagues. Hope we improve in Summer in his position, but I doubt we find someone better at shot stopping, his reflexes are pretty great too.

What would have happened if VAR had gone in on that flip flop outside the box? A yellow and free kick?
I don't think VAR could have done anything - once they determined it was not a Red Card offense.

It was obviously not a pen, so, absent a red card offense, the only conclusion would be: "Check complete"
