Just back from the game and thought he was top quality tonight.

Very good on the ball, always looked to pass forwards but for me I particularly loved how hard he worked without the ball.

Put him and Ndombele in front of a DM and just let them wreak havoc. Rotate in Gedson as needed and recruit an actual DM. Not sure where that leaves Winks, but at this point, I'm just so excited about that potential midfield I can't be bothered.

Jose: "He was phenomenal. He is improving day after day, match after match. Great mentality, great quality. Plays wherever the team needs him."

Jose uses stronger superlatives than most managers - has anyone noticed that?

Players are either not good/terrible or phenomenal, amazing, brilliant.

It’s the equivalent of Harry’s terrific, top, top, player stuff.

How long until reports that Levy trying to renegotiate the January clause in the deal with Betis rather than pay the already agreed £27m?

Looked real class tonight and was all over the pitch. I think I heard on the radio he had the most touches, most passes, most tackles, most interceptions etc., etc.

Mou loves him

“Giovani is improving game-after-game. Today he was fantastic in everything. I think he is adapting very well to the league, he can play in various positions, he gives us lots of quality, vision, passing, he is improving his offensive game, he is improving his intensity.”

He was outstanding this game. What I also loved was that he showed some crazy eyes. After he clashed with Cantwell, he just stared at him mumbling some words. Proper Lamela stuff there.

If we can get Ndombele fit and get a proper DM to support him and GLC in a midfield three we'll be fucking laughing next season.

I'm just glad that Mou obviously rates him! There was a time when it looked like it could have been a shocker

He's doing great and improving all the time

Always felt that if injuries forced Lo Celso into the starting 11 he would show what he was all about, the tenacity alone would be enough to have Jose hooked.

GLC impressed me with his work ethics yesterday. I think he’s adapted more and more. Shows good aggression and snatching after the ball when we’re pushing forward

Let hope the accepts the contract we offer him! Remember our agreement for purchase is with betis! For those more knowledgeable can he turn us down if our clause is met?
If he doesn't want to join us then he wont regardless of any clause I'd have thought.
Cant replace an unhappy player with another unhappy player.
He has to get on his kness and beg. Beg Mr Levy to let him play in this amazing stadium and help fight for a Europa league place ;)
