Starting Eriksen over Lo Celso will be the least surprising and most frustrating move of Mourinhos tenure yet vs Middlesbrough

Personally I think it's Jose way of saying get him the F*ck out of here & telling Levy to take what he can get for Eriksen because if he stays he'll stink the place out.

Doubt he will be off as there’s a 3 page write up about him in the programme tomrow, which is says all is going well with him and jose..

In some loan circumstances if a player has played a number of games there's an obligation to buy.

I think they'll both start tomorrow, and lamela. Probably Alli that gets rested

I get the squad is thin so he feels he has no choice but really id rather Skipp, or someone from the academy, they really wouldn't be any worse.
His attitude really stinks, surprised it ended with him going all ozil on us

IF he should not stay here (which i do not hope), I think his next club could well be Barca. They are about to announce Setién as their next manager until 2022. Lo Celso played his best football under him at Betis...

But fingers crossed Gio is here to stay for a long time!

edit: sorry, i do not want to create drama.. but let's be honest: things do not look to rosy for Gio under Mourinho. And we had some ITK from Trix.

Quote from yesterday: "Giovani comes from completely different football cultures. Played in Spain, Argentina, played in Spain, played in France, now he comes again. You can feel that he is coming."

If I were clutching at straws (which I am) I would see that as an indication that he feels he's nearly ready and I take encouragement from that.

It definitely suggests that. The big tell I think will be what happens when Eriksen goes. If he still doesn't become a starter, or Fernandes becomes a starter before Celso even gets a few games then I think the itk about Jose not liking him will unfortunately be true.

Definitely seems like he Jose doesn't rate him. Don't get me wrong I'm not sure I rate him (from what I've seen so far) as highly as others on here and I personally don't think he's had a feature that leaves people thinking "wow this kid is good" but I still believe he gives this team something it severely lacks and would give more than what some of the players being picked over him are giving. Not to mention the fact that he hasn't even been given any bit of a run in the side and he's in a new league, new country with new teammates and staff etc.

I just want to see him get a good run of games. The premier league can be hard to adapt to anyway but especially if you're only getting 10-15 here and there.

Mourinho on summer signings. Sounds less positive for TN than for GLC! But I think with Tanguy it's a case of tough love and sort yourself out.

"The players that come - Giovani, Sessegnon, Ndombele - you see the young boy is in a process of developing and we are giving him time to do that," he said.

"Giovani comes from completely different football cultures. Played in Spain, Argentina, played in Spain, played in France, now he comes again. You can feel that he is coming.

"Ndombele not even coming. Injured and with lots of problems, so you cannot compare what was four years ago in the cycle of four years to what it is now. So we have to work."
