You can see he is improving with every game, which you would expect from a quality player in a new team/league.
Now we need to give him some starts and show what he can really do.

I literally jumped off the sofa cheering to see he had actually missed his chance. It still haunts me.
He needs to start games, as does Lamela. Mourinho must see how good they are together? I know they come on at the back end of games at present and the opposition could well be tiring, but it’s clear as day what they bring. And stop playing fucking Eriksen. Shite, doesn’t care. He never got stuck in when he was committed. He sure as hell won’t now or until he leaves.

He is so good and he just seems like the type of player who would only get better over time. Definitely haven’t even seen the best of him yet and that’s so exciting. Dump Eriksen and let this fella play if he’s fit.

Was really disappointed to see Eriksen start and no Lo Celso. I wanted Lamela and Lo Celso and Dele behind Son and Moura.

Even when they didn’t start, from half time onwards I was keen to take off Rose and Eriksen for our Argy combo.

2 stand out moments

1. That press and tackle to win the ball back near the edge of their box, leading to a chance

2. That run into the box to anticipate Aurier’s cross. Should have finished, unlucky not to.

Thought he was fantastic when he came on. Plays the simple pass well, defends from the front well and gets into the box well. What’s not to like? Yes he should have finished that chance but he made the run and nearly scored, something a certain Dele is supposed to be doing but doesn’t as much anymore.

You can tell he has some real real quality in terms of his technical ability and feel he is improving game on game. It really is about time he is given a stretch of games and none of this 20 minutes crap.

He played a couple of nice balls to Sonny to get him in behind but just a tad long which showed his passing is getting there too. I think he is getting more confident.

Thats why I am a tad infuriated by us saying we have no midfield. We have a couple of players who can do far better than who we have put out int he team particularly CE.

Can't he play a Bernardo Silva type role out on the right side? Similar to what Eriksen used to. He has that ability to drift in. I'd rather he play in a midfield 3 but I'm desperate for him to just get an opportunity to fit in anywhere at this point.

Dlnt think he is quick enough for that role

I think Jose will still play Dele especially when Kane is out. I guess he counts on his goalscoring skills which I can understand. But man, Alli is sooo bad right now that there shouldn't be any contest for his position in starting eleven.

Could have been worse. You could have been in a packed out bar.

I still get embarrassed when I'm reminded of my reaction in the league cup final when I thought Keane had scored that shot. Didn't even wait for the net to bulge just turned around cheering screaming. Only Spurs fan in there but there was a fair few Chelsea fans.

Thank god we won!
