Hmmmm depends on which position we are looking at, however I do have a few reports for when the window opens, I just need to see who we are actually linked too before giving my very modest yet informed opinion. Ever since BC left someone has to do the scouting for our forum.

Personally I feel the midfield is where games are won or lost these days. With Ndombele, Lo Celso and currently Sissoko, we have an amazing base to work with. Whether or not we need a true DM is up for debate as I can see Sissoko fulfilling this role well if given the chance and if he’s on form on match day we have no need to get another DM in.

Most true DM’s are more defense based and this can slow down the transition in midfield, Sissoko has substantial defensive capabilities and his forward passing is starting to improve drastically too. I feel we’ve found a nice balance at the moment and I don’t think we need another new addition to the team when we can improve much more in other areas of the pitch.

I don’t agree re. Sissoko at all. Definitely need a true DM imho.

Would completely transform our attack if we had a proper right sided attacker in the team. Neither Lo Celso, Eriksen, Lamela or Son want to be there. And Poch refuses to play Lucas.

Lo Celso in the midfield 3 with Ndombele + Sissoko would be ideal with Kane, Son + a rwf.

I wonder if Sessegnon can play there.

Not true at all, he started him there vs Newcastle.

Personally think he'd be best in the David Silva role on the left of a 3, with Ndombele on the right. Issue is you need a properly good DM to sit behind them because they'll get a few tackles in but that isn't their forte and you don't actually want them to be sitting too deep anyway. Those two are the building blocks and we have competent back ups too them. We just need to find the third piece of the puzzle. I'd be willing to see the club part with a huge sum of money to get in a very good DM.

Agree with this if we went 4-3-3 tbh. NDombele and Lo Celso ahead of Winks would be fine if Poch got the whole team pressing like we used to.

This is something I've noticed too. Some lovely incisive passes the last few games. (Still like a proper DM, though. Peak Wanyama would be perfect, although if I'm being greedy, I'd like a DM who passes the ball a little better than he did.)

What songs have we got for LoCelso? I suggest So Macho by Sinita. It scans beautifully. What do mean you've not heard it?

He’s obviously got quality but he’s playing in a poor team at the mo. Will take a while to get up to speed in the PL.

Looked really exhausted towards the end but still tried to move the ball up the field and make incisive passes. Really needs to play centrally and not on the right in order to get the best out of him.

Refreshing to see a player with a bit of intelligence. Reminds me of VDV for some reason. Going to be some player.

Thing that stood out was how one footed he is.
That will get easily found out.
Was he trained by same person as Lamela ?

I genuinely don't think it will be an issue. I have seen enough to suggest to me that he is going to be a great asset for our first 11.

How many right footed players rarely use their left foot? Loads. It just stands out a bit more for left footers

I didn't watch the game today but did he play on the right again all game?
