Hopefully last night was a glimpse at the future; all the new signings appeared, Foyth at right back.
Fingers crossed this is the first day of a new era

Exactly. Like I said in the Wish-TW-thread we have been needing a RAM/RW for quite some time, and we're hurting because of it. Playing Lo Celso/Eriksen/Son there doesn't make sense. And when Poch won't use Lucas we really only have Lamela/Lo Celso and they're to slow for that position. Makes me wonder if that is why Poch is trying a diamond or 3-5-2 because we don't have the players for 4231.

We badly need a Salah/Mahrez/Silva/Bale quick attacking left footed player. That's why Zieych was on top on my list.

Would completely transform our attack if we had a proper right sided attacker in the team. Neither Lo Celso, Eriksen, Lamela or Son want to be there. And Poch refuses to play Lucas.

Lo Celso in the midfield 3 with Ndombele + Sissoko would be ideal with Kane, Son + a rwf.

I wonder if Sessegnon can play there.

Sess has been used as a RWF

If Lo Celso doesn't start Saturday then it's up to the West Tunnel Club to throw canapes and Vol au Vents at Poch, they're the closest seats

I like the combination of him and Foyth down the right
Would love to see him in CAM as well though with Sess and Son on either wing
Pace out wide AND creativity from the middle. What would we moan about?

Lamela as RWF when combining with those you mentioned could be very tasty.

Classy is the best word i can use to describe him. Always on the move aswell. Hopefully players like him and Tanguy will raise the bar. Always looking to make something happen.

I feel we are just too comfortable sometimes. We keep the ball but never look like putting the opposition in any danger. With players like Lo Celso and Tanguy i get the feeling that's about to change.

Personally think he'd be best in the David Silva role on the left of a 3, with Ndombele on the right. Issue is you need a properly good DM to sit behind them because they'll get a few tackles in but that isn't their forte and you don't actually want them to be sitting too deep anyway. Those two are the building blocks and we have competent back ups too them. We just need to find the third piece of the puzzle. I'd be willing to see the club part with a huge sum of money to get in a very good DM.

He's one of those players I love to watch - excellent technique in both passing and dribbling and a silky smooth touch. He's a very good all round player with a little bit of everything.

Whoscored: Lo Celso

Incredible young player, finally playing in the position he excels in. Don't take much note of what he did at PSG, he was behind Veratti, Matuidi and Rabiot so he was largely played out of position.

Can play equally well at CM and AM, if you could combine the best attributes of a #8 and #10 into one player, this is the player you're looking for. He is incredibly versatile and creative, along with being decent in the tackle. Would provide the goals and assists we lack from CM. If Sissoko had to power forward with the ball, we could trust Lo Celso to cover the DM position for him. He can create from deep and from up top. A truly versatile player in the mold that Poch seems to love.

Only issue is he would be competing with Eriksen and Winks for positions, but competition is always a good thing and is something we sorely lacked this season.

Along with N'dombele, this is right up there with my must have signings, he would excel under Poch and his team.

If we could get him for £40 Million it would be a very fair deal for both us and Betis.

I should become a professional scout. :ROFLMAO:

No scout lives on just one player.....now is the tester......who is next for us to sign ;)!

Get this one right like you have with Lo Celso and I will personally write your reference!

About Lo Celso, along with Ndombele, it is nice to see players play the ball first time & then move. This creates a huge amount of space for the team and if you watch Barca at any level, its how they play. Pass, move, create space and move forward as a team.

Totally agree. He looks like a genuinely excellent player. As others have said - with the right players to complement them, he and Ndombele could be incredible.

For me, unless there's an obvious fitness issue, they should both start against Sheff U.

In my eyes he has already overtaken CE.................He can take a corner kick.

Eriksen used to be able to take corner kicks remember...it’s something in the water at the club I think! Tottenham Hotspur shall never have a corner taker of acceptable standards

Hmmmm depends on which position we are looking at, however I do have a few reports for when the window opens, I just need to see who we are actually linked too before giving my very modest yet informed opinion. Ever since BC left someone has to do the scouting for our forum.

Personally I feel the midfield is where games are won or lost these days. With Ndombele, Lo Celso and currently Sissoko, we have an amazing base to work with. Whether or not we need a true DM is up for debate as I can see Sissoko fulfilling this role well if given the chance and if he’s on form on match day we have no need to get another DM in.

Most true DM’s are more defense based and this can slow down the transition in midfield, Sissoko has substantial defensive capabilities and his forward passing is starting to improve drastically too. I feel we’ve found a nice balance at the moment and I don’t think we need another new addition to the team when we can improve much more in other areas of the pitch.

no DM and shambolic defence? ?

Ooh, ooh, and rubbish attacking (and defending) fullbacks

no Kane backup?

Poch taking too long on substitutions?

where’s the press gone?

the hate filled spurs fans that surround me at WHL?
