I guess that the
With the sale of Firpo Betis are now at a zero net spend, and they've also got his wages off the books. They've already replaced Firpo With Antonio Pedraza on loan from Villarreal with an option to buy.

Even less need to sell Lo Celso imo. If they were desperate for the cash they would not have reneged on the agreed fee multiple times (according to ITK).
I'm probably being naïve but why agree a deal in principle if the fee is clearly not satisfactory?

Aren't we signing him
I I I said last week that I think this over but if they have changed the terms of the deal 3x after it has been agreed then I think we can assume it is over.

Firpo signed for 27.5M and I think that went up from 20M from earlier reports and they dicked Barca around as well. But they are club that generally get business done.

Nobody said that though, trix's ITK didn't say that about the fee he said the fee was agreed three weeks ago and it is the structure that they keep wanting to change.

A) I don’t think we can assume anything until the window closes.

B) Are you actually comparing our financial situation to Barca’s? Because that’s how they are “a club that generally gets business done.”

I still expect this to go through. Betis still need to sign players. They won’t get any offers bigger than what we’ve previously agreed so they’re just trying to squeeze us right until the end. I reckon it will go through on deadline day.

I still think Betis will cash in on him, they can't afford to keep a player who doesn't want to be there when he's worth this much. It would help them strengthen other areas of the squad in the remaining weeks of the window.

Lets put it another way Betis wanted 27.5M for Firpo, Barca I think started at around 20M, because it's Barca the price wasn't 40M or 50M for Firpo it was another 7.5M. That to me suggests Betis know their ceiling and in the end Barca got the deal done.
