It always has to play, it makes us stronger! And you need to play with Ndombele, please no more Sissoko or Winks.

Settled us down big time today when he came on. If we can ever get Ndombele in condition to play 90 minutes we'll have something pretty special in midfield.

I think it's still a few weeks away, but Lo Celso and Ndombele sitting just Infront of Hojbjerg would be fantastic. Both would need to work hard to get back though.

Hopefully 60+ mins in one of the midweek games.

Mourinho got loads of abuse in the match thread for take Tanguy off for this guy, but he played brilliantly, offered something different too.

Mose wanted Lo Celso on, just not for Ndombele. (Because they based it on performance, not fitness)

Yeah, but I think people need to realise that our midfielders aren’t capable of playing 90 minutes right now (I was very surprised Winks did today.) With the games we’ve got coming up Mourinho needs to manage the squad. He did that brilliantly today.

The abuse was not for taking Tanguy off for Gio. It was for not taking Winks off for Gio. Everyone could see we needed Gio in there.

I think the second half performance proves that Jose made the right choice here. I honestly expected to see Sissoko come on for Winks at half time, with Tanguy then replaced on around the hour. His leg was strapped up so it’s clear he’s carrying a bit of a niggle, so he was always going to get taken off at some point.

In Hindsight, it was probably going to be difficult to take Winks off because he's the one midfielder who didn't travel on thursday.

I don't disagree, they are clearly managing both Gio's and Tanguy's fitness at the moment, just trying to explain why some were pissed.

Agree with what everyone is saying. It was annoying to see Tanguy go off, but we all wanted Gio on. At some point we will see Gio and Tanguy on together and playing progressive passes into that forward line. Should be fun.
