Nothing as bad as Lo Celso mate. Stop trying to defend it.
Robertson on Tanaga? Give over, how comes our players are deserving of more criticism than other teams players, Cantwell was vicious and on purpose and there wasn't half the bollocks there is now over Lo Ceslo ... who is keeping score if we defend out own for a change?

Fuck VAR and while I'm at it, fuck Chelsea.

Your initial point was its OK for Lo Celso to make that challenge, and he's justified in doing so because others have committed challenges on us (not to the same extent IMO) earlier in the season.

So if someone randomly attacked you in the street, does that give you freedom to go and attack someone else? It's a really odd mentality to have.

Oh good grief.

Yeah I'm off to do it now actually. Catch you later.

@hughy if you don't think that Cantwell, Robertson and others this season on our players don't constitute what Gio did today as being the same I can't help you. I'm glad he got away with it, genuinely. Look at the shit luck Sonny had go his way - Harry Maguire got away with it - a ripple in the pond.

The point about comparing the challenges is moot.

The worrying fact is that you practically suggested what Lo Celso did was OK. That doesn't sit well with me at all.

Yeah, lots of things in life are like that. I'm sure he'll be rinsed in the press written and spoken over the next 48 - 72 hours, you'll have lots of folk who agree with you, Chelsea fans and any fans of opposing teams come to mind ... You're not alone.

So it makes me a bad person because I condemn one of our players for committing a challenge which could seriously harm an opponent?

Mate be real. It was an awful challenge which deserved a red, and rightfully also deserves the medias attention whether Robertson, Cantwell or anyone else got the same attention or not.

Nah, the fans of opposing teams that read this site will most likely give you a gold star for being honest, genuine and all that sort of stuff.

Awful challenge, yeah like all the rest, he escaped a red, good for him.

We've had two of those that I can recall this season and one of them wasn't even a yellow or given as a foul , Robertson on JT which was a lot higher and more malicious.
Yeah, I know. I agree.

That doesn't just mean you can go in shin high on someone else to make up for it.

Really poor challenge. If that was an opposing player on one of ours we'd be calling for the officials to get sacked for their incompetence.

I can make an allowance for Azpilicueta. He’s a wanker, total scumbag and was beating the Tottenham fans, racist chanting, drum in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Fuck him

Yeah, i'm stuck here - definitely a red card, no argument from me there, but it was Azpilicueta, so I consider that a mitigating circumstance.

Only kidding - I like GLC but that was clumsy in an already clumsy match. Was 100% convinced, off of one replay, that was a red but what happens now? It's already been dealt with, the ref has seen it, the fourth official has too as well as the mystery that is Stockley Park, so even if they do admit it was a cock up they surely can't be looking at any sort of retrospective action, can they?

Cesar took take it on the shin, VAR have to take this on the chin, right?

The tackles from these pricks were not any lighter, if not worse, than what GLC did IMHO. I am perfectly ok for all pundits and media to go wank-fest over GLC BUT ONLY if they did the same to Cantwell, Robertson, Maguire etc. Even Sterling. Why should our treatment be so much different from them ffs? The current biasness towards us is so skewed I am more than glad the PL made that dumb mistake.

You can't compare anymore, mate. Slab-head puts his plate into the landing gear of an oppo player, gets away with it, but the pundits are all saying it was an accident. This time around it's deffo a red, but there's no comparison to be had as what happened last week doesn't count this week.

We spent weeks dealing with even accidental handballs being called on it, suffered several times for the briefest of glances, but now it's apparently case by case. Son (arguably) dives once and VAR catch him out, the media circus explodes like it's the first instance of an epidemic and Son's the anti-christ.

It's all sensationalism, each incident is forgotten the next time the same thing happens with another player, the world is mental and a company have convinced the FA to nail their colours to the mast of this innovative new technology which, if you boil it down, is no more tech than the A.W.E.S.O.M-O 4000

We’ve been fucked over by stamps on at least 4 occasions, been punished for a small bit of petulance (son) and seen Maguire get away with something MUCH worse and yet there are people in here complaining about us getting away with it today?

I didn't see it as a red. You can't judge it on slow motion. It wasn't a stamp, just an unfortunate situation where 2 players go after the ball from different angles. It looks bad in slow motion but it actually wasn't bad because he didn't go in with force in real time. Judge it on real time at normal speed because that's how it's played.
