He has the qualities to play midfield. I thought he did well with Winks.
If we had a big, dominant DM and a fit Ndombele I think he’d be ideal as the third midfielder in a 433 to add a bit of vision and subtlety. At the moment, though, there’s no power or control in midfield.

He’s obviously a class player. Doubt we’ll see the best of him until next season.

People doubting we’ll make him permanent?! Christ, we’ve offered Sissoko a new deal in the past few months! Our bar isn’t that high.

Been saying exactly this since the day he signed.

I thought he was head and shoulders above Winks in that first 30 minutes but by the second half I wouldn't have complained if he was replaced by Eriksen

Good player, should play CM from now on, but I will still miss Eriksen, no matter how much his head has gone he was a proper playmaker

What was that term used to describe Jose's training technique and how he runs sessions to teach the players how to problem solve on the football pitch?

This is what I think is needed. We had quite a few good break aways in the Champions League final last year where we ended up 4v3 but our front players invariably failed to create an opening.

It's more down having intelligent players in the final third imo. Seeing the chance and make it bigger.

Only Kane & Eriksen have a footballing brain..

And even Kane is far to greedy sometimes.

And don't say Dele Son or Lucas. Headless chickens.

Dele has a footballing brain compared to Son and Lucas. People conveniently forget the good Alli does to suit their agenda

Not a football brain who can pick a pass, or spot the gap in the final third in a 4v3.

He must just be bloody lucky to have fallen ass backwards into a great number of assists and chances created for teammates. Wish I was that lucky :-(

I seriously don't know if you're trolling most of the time in here, which is the hallmark of a quality troll. So congrats, I guess.

Alli has one of the best footballing brains we have in the team - how else can you explain his outstanding movement and relatively high number of assists? He does need to improve though and he can be a bit slow at times on the ball but a lot of that I think is down to the poor movement of players around him.

Dele Alli is not much besides a runner who has a decent finish in the box.

He has been awful for the past 2 years.

You'll come around like the rest of you.

I think he has poor intelligence on the ball, off the ball he plays with his head up and is brilliant at spotting the pass before he receives the ball. If he has too much time on the ball his head is down and he can't see the picture around him. It's why he dribbles so much down blind alleys

What did he do for the rest of the game?

It's not enough in such a key position. Compare him to Silva (either one) or De Bruyne, give them an inch and they'll punish you. A constant thorn in the opposing side's ribs. The number 10 needs to be a player that you need to be constantly worried about to give the players up front some space.

Why do Kane, Son and Moura get marked out of games? Because defenders don't worry about any type of guile from our current midfield so just stay in position and double up on everyone else. You don't need to mark Alli because he's unlikely to punish you outside of the 18 yard box.

If it were Eriksen with that flick forward WhiteDane would be creaming himself.
