Betis breaks negotiations with Tottenham for Lo Celso

The distant positions in the figures cause this break a few days after the close of the market in the Premier League

The Real Betis has broken off negotiations with Tottenham for the transfer of Giovani Lo Celso, as has been known alfinaldelapalmera.com . The rupture of the dialogue between the parties occurs a few days after the close of the market in the Premier League and after several weeks of the tug of war of both clubs for the sale of the Argentine. The Verdiblancos have rejected all the proposals of the English club, runner-up of the last edition of the Champions League, and are upset with the attitude of Tottenham with Betis and with the player himself.

Lo Celso traveled to Casablanca on Sunday with the rest of the team under Rubi's orders but was one of the few who did not play. Only Camarasa, Dani Martín, Edgar, Narváez and the Argentine were those who did not have minutes in this duel that ended with 0-1 in favor of the Verdiblanco block thanks to the goal of the Raúl squad in the final stretch of the clash. Lo Celso joined the Betic discipline last Wednesday and was in the second concentration of Montecastillo.

Lo Celso had an agreement with Tottenhamfor weeks, since the English club had committed to more than double the chip if it joined its ranks. The player hoped that the situation would be resolved before his return to the Betic ranks but in Heliopolis they have understood that Tottenham's offers have not been enough to date and have broken negotiations because the interest of other clubs has appeared to be made with Lo Celso.

Thus, Betis now negotiates with other clubs the possible transfer of Lo Celso , which has a termination clause of one hundred million euros. Atlético de Madrid and NaplesThey have recently shown their interest in the Argentine. The rupture of the negotiations with Tottenham a few days after the close of the market in England can be a greenish strategy to pressure the English club to increase its proposal, as well as a wake-up call for the other clubs interested in the Argentine. Betis' urgencies for the sale of the soccer player have diminished with the sale of Junior to Barcelona and the agreement with the Crystal Palace for the transfer with obligation of purchase in case of permanence of Camarasa, although the final consent of the soccer player to close this operation remains .
Are they reliable? I don't know what to think about this saga tbh

You know trying to convince yourself it isn't happening won't stop you from being hurt if it ends up he doesn't sign right? This wall you try and put up never works.
Its true. I always have a slight shred of hope. Every window, i stay at work late watching ssn stream, have a meltdown on SC for a few hours, go home and drink myself to sleep. It’s a vicious cycle.

Oh well only just under four days left until we know either way.

I don’t see how Betis don’t sell him, and I don’t see how A Madrid or Napoli will pay more than us. I think this is them getting desperate for us to cough up. I’ll be surprised if Atletico and Napoli are in for him.

You're definitely the last of the true legends mate. :)
Don't worry too much, this will happen, as will BF. It has been written so it shall pass.
All the best mate :)

Agree, I think this is Betis chatting shite to get us to up our offer. I don’t see him going elsewhere, but I do worry they may just remain stubborn and not sell as a statement to show they’ve beaten the rich PL bully.

ABC Sevilla putting out a fluff piece on behalf of Sevilla-based Real Betis.

Yeah, I wouldn’t go reading into that too heavily chaps. (y)

Just let this thing play out. Few more days to go.

The ‘news’ doesn’t even make sense...

....‘this could be a negotiation tactic by Spurs to pay a fee closer to his €100m release clause....”

Right’o.

Obviously a typo, but basically that article is clickbait. If he’s a good journalist for Betis, perhaps he’s been fed the article like Dan KP/Ally Gold would with us

That's my worry. I can see deadline day agreement only for Betis to have a last minute renege to force more from us only for Levy to just tell them to forget it

The fucking Betis can go fuck themselves with an angry Elephant

Betis aren't doing themselves any favours if they're fucking around as much as it appears they are. No one will want to enter into negotiations with them going forward.

Why? Cause Levy won't pay what they want? It's up to Levy to agree a deal they are happy with or move on to something else. They even sold Junior and Camarasa just now so might not even need the money as much atm.
