Son on Gomes? Was a complete accident and cannot be compared to what Cash has done. Cash is like Charlie Adams in that they know what they're doing.
Look, I know I get disagrees but he is a good lad, I know the family!

However, not wanting him at spurs because he ain't up to standard is fine and I agree with, but calling him out for being a **** when he actually isn't, is something I will call out and disagree with.

He may be a good lad off the pitch, but on it is a completely different matter. He knew what he was doing when he went into Bentancur on his return. Knew what he was doing when he injured Doherty, too. Every time I watch him he does or attempts something similar in games.

Must be a good chance of moving him on this window if someone (and with Villa in CL why not them) can match the £100k a week he is on with us. Into the last year of a contract there is always the risk of getting a serious injury that means no one touches him when he’s a free agent next year.
He seems to be made of balsa wood at the best of times, and although there is definitely a good player in there it’s hard not to doubt his physical resilience.

Having a pantomime villian is part of the fun of football but some tend to get carried away and confuse the on pitch persona with real life.
We're all guilty of it with Maddison and Richy being recent examples but sometimes we need to step back and understand that just because someone can come across as a twat in the pitch, that's not always a reflection of them in real life.

Yeah agree, nd tbh for those that have played at a level, its different on the pitch too, yoy want to win, some will just tackle hard, and be the same in training too, some are dirtier, for me it's part of the game really.

Our own players get similar as well, I me tinned Son, cos he gets a load for the odd fouls he has done, intentionally or not, Romero another one too!

Ange clearly doesn't fancy him so hope we can get a swap for Ramsey etc, I love Gio think he's class and did really well for us last season whenever he played but got to trust Ange's judgement on what he needs in his system.

I'll be honest it has been many years since seeing it, but I swear something caused Son to slip into Gomes? And even afterwards you could tell by Son's reaction it was purely accidental and there was zero malice behind it.
Nah, Son purposefully clipped him, then Gomes and Aurier crashed into each other. Still not sure which of the impacts broke his leg. I always thought it was from Aurier, but not sure.

Either way, Son's tackle was cynical, but not really dangerous. Gomes getting that hurt was either a freak accident or really unlucky.

I thought it was an accident and yes son fouled him but Gomes’s studs caught in the ground.
He can’t be compared in the same Playing field to the deliberate hatchet job Marty cash did/does.
That tackle on lolo was pure deliberate and done so because at the time, lolo was controlling the game and superb.

He literally clipped his leg and he moved forward a couple of steps and broke his own leg from my memory. Which isn’t great. Never ever red card.

Lets not be hasty - maybe Ange just wants to tie Cash to the goal post for target practice for the forwards.
Ange: "Matty, you stand over there. Rodrigo, Cristian and Radu, when I blow my whistle, try to take the ball off Matty."

Matty: "But Boss, I don't have a ball".

Ange: Blows whistle

Not for me. I don’t think anyone is judging him by his character off the pitch.

On numerous occasions Cash has clearly, intentionally tried to injure a footballer. I’m not exactly a fan of the dark arts but have to accept it to a level.

But a player who intentionally tries to injure players is something I can never support. I’m very aware that some players are assholes on the pitch and lovely off it and vice versa.

But to me that is completely irrelevant as I am judging the player not the person.

I really don't think we need another central midfielder in place of GLC. Not fussed about Ramsey. I think we just need attacking players and a left back now.

Ifs simple, gray for peh, eze for glc and Neto for royal in terms of squad places
That’s a huge upgrade in squad

I disagree, that 1st half v Kobe showed we need a CM that can turn with the ball and dribble through the centre. Maddison, Sarr and Bissouma play the way they are facing too often and pass it straight back to the centre backs.

Bergvall showed what that would add to our Midfield, but we need a more experienced option and someone to play with Bergvall at times not instead of.

I would much prefer Eze or Doue but wouldn't be against Ramsey either.

But Doue and Eze are attacking players, not 8s. I just don't get Ramsey. Gray looks great but he's covering centre back and Bentancur will return soon. We're well covered in that position. I'm not convinced Ramsey brings anything extra.

If we bring in another "#10" than can dribble through the middle, then I agree we don't need o bring anyone else in, but I see Ramsey as a possibly candidate for that role, albeit down the list. I don't see us as playing with 1 x #10 though, I think it is more 2 x #8s but 1 is more attacking than the other.
